Like I said many times before, KISS sure knows how to make a disco song headbang-worthy.
How do you spell pretentious? S-A-M-M-Y H-A-G-A-R
Peter Criss explain why he is against the current Kiss, with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer dressed as Ace and Peter.
While I have no use for the current incarnation of KISS, I think Peter Criss is somewhat bitter that he allowed himself to accept the uneven cut of the reunion...although he really didn't have much of a choice if he was looking to make some serious money. From everything I've read, Criss had to swallow a lot of pride and exchanged his indignation at how he was being mistreated by Simmons, Stanley and Doc McGhee for a steady paycheck.
I'd have to imagine it must have been somewhat humiliating on the last tour Criss did with the band to find out that the band were only offering him 10k per show vs. Tommy Thayer, who was being offered more than double that...but the fact remains that Criss went ahead and did the tours and kept signing the contract renewals. The only time he took a stand was when the reunion tour went Down Under, and he wouldn't sign. However, he eventually went ahead and did more tours with the band, while all along suspecting that he was being cut out of what he considered to be his fair share of the merchandising along with suspicions that his management and representatives weren't getting him the best deals they could out of the KISS organization.
And I hate to say it, but Criss probably would still have kept performing with the band despite what he considered their shoddy treatment of him had Stanley and Simmons not ejected him in 2003.
While I can understand why Criss kept playing with KISS (hey, it's not like he was gonna be playing large arenas any other way), people can't abuse you unless you let them.
Scramby eggs and bacon.
Just in case it hasn't been said recently...

I got a body built for sin and an appetite for passion...
Yeah I can see the road to ruin and I'm lookin' for some action...

My favorite is Take it off
I can't listen to bullshit like this...
Well my mind is gettin' dirty

I wanna watch some asses shakin'
to the noise the boys are makin', uh huh
Ooh, so I hop into my car,
hit the local titty bar, uh huh
'Cause that's my kind of situation
when I need some perspiration, uh huh
I do my one-step shoppin' for the girl of my dreams
'Cause I can always be sure
that she's as good as she seems
That is fucking lame!
What albums do you like?
None all the way through...
But I like Destroyer, The Elder and Animalize...
I forgot Dynasty...
That's pretty good...
I have been playing The Elder recently,I think there are some really good songs on there.I really like The Oath and I.Ace is the best of them on that album.
What about Rock and Roll Over,That is a solid album start to finish

There's two or three good songs on Rock and Roll Over like I said initially...
I don't even have a copy of The Elder anymore, but I used to like it quite a bit...
Eddie needs to take a long ride to the river in a trunk...
Maybe some cement shoes would be in order...
I really did not like the costumes for The Elder.Ace and Eric looked ok but Gene and Paul looked stupid
They look ready to aerobicize...
No, the Christian way would be to hang a millstone around his neck....
Matthew 18:6
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

That crowd looks, um, enthused...
About as enthused as one can look while holding back utter disgust in what they are seeing. Gene looks like Gabe Kaplan in Gene make up, Paul looks like a mimed out version of Olivia Newton John and Ace looks like he just realized he missed an appointment with a Delorean dealership. Poor Eric Carr. He looked like he deserved something better.
This is a couple of months old, but looks like no one posted it here:

Gene Simmons says KISS reunion would be the death of the band
As KISS work hard to promote their new album, “Monster,” the band continue to do media interviews about the project in addition to personal appearances and performances.
In a new session with Washington’s Big 100.3, Gene Simmons spoke about how the album came together.
“The record actually happened as a natural outgrowth of the touring cycle,” said Simmons. “We’ve been consistently touring, and with [drummer] Eric [Singer] and [guitarist] Tommy [Thayer] in the band, it sort of revitalized the band through fresh eyes and fresh ears. You realize, ‘Wow, we’re in KISS’. We’ve been doing this for so long, sometimes you tend to forget it.”
As KISS approach their 40th anniversary next year, the inevitable reunion question surfaced: Simmons was asked if the band would ever consider performing with guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss again.
"No. Ace and Peter were great for the beginning of the band, but it would be the death of the band with Ace and Peter today,” said Gene. “They were both equally as important as Paul [Stanley] and I for the beginnings of the band, but not everybody is designed in their DNA to be a marathon runner. They were short-distance runners and that was great for the beginning of the band. But we have to take it to the next level. We've been doing this for 40 years. Physically, neither of them could do what we do. It's very physically demanding, and also, the musicality. You've gotta be there with no dark clouds over your head, no drugs or alcohol in your system. They were fantastic for the beginning of the band, and that's the chapter they should be in."
So, is he ever going to mention the beginning of the band? Jayzuss. Sounds like he was stuck in a bullshit brainfart cloud.
But you know what, when and IF Kiss ever decides to hang it up for good, their last concert should be with the originals. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss. Even though I've learned to like Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer, it's only proper that the last show be with the originals.
