No, it's not. If you see a post you don't like, racist, stupid or informed, you are free to faceplant that motherfucker into the pavement. It's encouraged for all members, moderator or otherwise, to come down on the jackasses. The people that are mods here are primarily so because Sarge likes the persona they portray.

I suspect it's the default that came with the board. Sarge has been clear, he won't ban people but if you make a nuisance of yourself he'll certainly suspend you for a while to cool off. And he has no problem asking people not to be pointlessly, inflammatorily, racist.

What kills me about this is when an alleged "troll" chooses to offer a relatively benign post that pertains to the content of the thread, immediately he or she is jumped on for merely posting. Now it would be one thing if the person was disrupting things, yet in this case they are basically stating an opinion that indeed applies to the content of the thread. To attack them for this is simply uncalled for, and completely derails whatever discussion that was taking place.

Seriously, if a person (or persona) bothers you that much, you can either ignore them or click the option that allows the site to do it for you. It really is that easy, and will lead to less baloney for everyone else to witness.

If the female posters stay fairly nonconfrontational they are treated decent. But, I have noticed a certain amount of piling on by a certain group though when females go toe-to-toe "mixing it up with the boys". Sometimes deserved... sometimes not and it's left me scratching my head wondering what's that all about.

Who? I've observed it occur over the years. Angel, Sensible Shoes, Elitest, Chelle, Switch, Susie-Q, Ally, etc... come to mind for being the target of crap that appears to be gender motivated rather than posting content motivated.
