Bad call, but the refs are told if they lose sight of the puck they should whistle the play dead.
And it's not when the whistle sounds, but when the ref decided to blow it...another misconception about the rule.
The ref was fooled by the goalie being motionless and assuming he had it trapped.

I did waste my vote on the Sharks, but if I had to pick now, it would be too hard. The Canes are a big surprise, Ducks are looking to put a strangle hold on the Wings tonight, Caps can go back to Washington up 3-1, and I think the Hawks will bounce back tonight and go back to BC 2-2.

I'm a huge Capitals fan...always been...this is grate time for me to wake up every other night, even if I have to wake up for work the next morning...the time difference makes me wake up at 2.00 AM to see the games...

Capitals really sucked in this game. Horrible giveaways and decisions. Poor defensive play. Green has to be injured, he plays so bad and doesn't shoot at all.
We need a little shuffle...otherwise the more experienced Pens are going to win this one.
They need to do what they did in Games 1 & 2, and that`s get the puck to OVECHKIN
They need to have a few fucking other guys score, in addition too, Ovechkin...

The Pens D is doing a great job on Ovechkin nowadays... Only 2 shots on goal last night....
In terms of the knee-to-knee, nothing will happen, everyone knows it...
But I have a feeling tonight's Game Five will be extremely chippy...
Actually, I was more pissed about the puck Ovechkin shot at a Pens player in the last few minutes...WEAK
