Luckily it's only a Drummer's Thread and not a real musician's thread So those two clowns can't do much harm here.
What is it with you two, Jay and Lounge that you can't participate in a thread without the personal attacks?
Retards/
BTW those were some cool old drum adds. I had no idea that they cost that much in the 60's...
You know it is funny how much drums costs back then. I was reading a John Lennon biography and he mentioned how hard it was to find a drummer with a kit. Pete Best's mom had bought him a kit and that was why he was asked to join the band. Not because he was a good drummer but because he had a kit.
I've read a lot of Lennon stuff too, Richard Seamens book, Peter Brown, ect. But I think the best one (sort-of out of left field if you know what I mean) was May Pang's. It had quite a different view that the others, and described different situations than the rest.
And I do remember the story about Pete Best. His mother also let them practice at her house and was very encouraging of them playing..
Yup, you know I never read May's book, I'm going to have to get that one.
I just finished this one, "John Lennon, The Life" by Philip Norman Amazon.com: John Lennon: The Life: Philip Norman: Books
Great read and very well written. IMO, an honest and unbiased look at Lennon's life and the people around him. Gives great detail about his family and his relationship with his Aunt.
That looks interesting, wish I had more time to read as of late.
May Pangs book is out of print, but I'm sure you could get a used copy. That's what I did. One of the funnest books about the Beatles is called "The Longest Cocktail Party" By Richard DiLello. He worked at the Apple offices, and the book details the madness that went on there. Great read.
No problem. I used to read all the time (when I had time)
WOW, that book is 800 pages! Must be really detailed to go that long..
It is, it details his entire life and goes into details about his dad and mother, too. It's more about the whole of Lennon's life not just about the Beatles.
I guess talkin about books is beyond you huh?
I didn't know you played the drums Lounge Queen.
What's your set up?
Too easy!
Says the dejected moron who PM'd me whining about how you thought this would be a cool place to talk about drums, yet you seem to only attack people here and rarely mention anything about drums. Practice what you preach much? Hypocrite!
Either STFU and post something relevant to the thread or don't post at all.
Just goes to show what type of person she really is. It's funny how people like her and Clay are constantly ridiculed and hated by 99% of the people here, yet they post and complain about everyone else. I know you have mentioned this before about them but it's worth repeating.
That's just another thing katie and GayDar have in common....
They'll post their bullshit tripe, and call you every name in the book in a thread, but via PM try to be your pal, ask for favors, and talk politely. Just shows what a fucking pose their online schtick is. katie likes to play the funny, tough bitch. When in reality, is just the opposite. But then again, what should we expect from trolls?
But two things are for certain, they all FEED of the negative attention. They CRAVE our attention.
If she knew the truth like you do kwame about my history with certain female drummers.....
Yup, couldn't agree with you more.
Plus, a certain female drummer plays a natural finish kit, which makes her OK in my book
Whit marine or Black Oyster wrap = class.
Natural finish = means you got differnt-branded shells off ebay and peeled 'em.
Just when I think you've hit the bottom of the dumb ass pile, you prove how much more of an idiot you really are.
Anyone who has a clue knows that wrapped drums are usually of lower standard, grain wise and they use the wrap to cover up the flaws, ascetically speaking.
Could be why natural finished drums cost more money but you've never let things like facts or the truth get in your way, Clay.
Errr, actually I take that back...She passed in 06..
Yup, just peeled off the wrap from my custom kit, I got on Ebay.
