I bet even you guys were expecting something special...
I guess you can still hold out some hope that "Its about Time" was the weakest of the three ...

The real shame is that the spermmy fans can't even be honest about it. If Fuel or some other band wrote that song would they still claim that it's a classic?

The song goes directly into the top 5 WORST Van Hagar songs of all time.

..only 5 worst hagar songs ?

..i cun't think of 5 decent van hagar songs to be honest

..you must mean 5150 worst hagar songs

..that's why they used that police term , you'd have to be 'criminally insane' to buy the fucking albums in the first place

    Let me clear this up.

ALL Van Hagar songs suck but on the suck -o- meter some suck more than others. THIS ranks amongst the suckiest of the sucky.

the people over at VHlinks are raving and saying how great the song is. was curious and have not been there for months so I downloaded it.

that is the biggest piece of VanHagar shit I have ever heard. out of all the songs they claim to have and could pick from thats the best they could have done ? eds def lost it and done. I will admit the music had some potential but falls flat on its face with that so called solo.

sammys lyrics , just when I thought could not get any worse has def blown the worst monkey dick I have ever hear him put together. I swore I wouldnt listen but had to and now wish I did not. that song really sucks and they have wound up a wannabee VH band!

"without you" with cherone was better than that piece of shit!

How about all the guitarists out there ? What do you think. That solo pretty much confirms what we have all been thinking. I guess we should reserve total judgement after hearing all three, but if this is the choice pick of the new tracks, Van Hagar are done.

If Up for Breakfast is truly about "Morning Wood" as some of the Spamsters tell me, and if we are to believe the convictions of the messenger (Spammy) there must be some 4 AM adminstering of Viagra happening in the Hagar household.

From a guitarist's perspective... Ed still has his chops and there's few interesting bits peppered in the tune. The opening riff and the main verse riffs work well together. Where this thing goes off-track imo is that oddball bridge between the verse and the chorus. It's almost like a foreign song within a song. Ed's solo isn't quite what I would call standard fare but then it is but then it isn't... I'm thinking the opening riff and in a couple of the bridges Ed is using transtrem cause it seems to change key in an odd way.

It's nice to NOT hear that damn harmonizer that he over-used previously. This thing sounds pretty straight and clean from an effects perspective. I sense some Marshall signiture rather than the Peavey 5150.

From a bass perspective... I hear Ed's writing but I definately hear Michael's steady and fluid playing. I would say with about 95% confidence Mikey laid down the tracks. Plus I like hearing him up front in the mix as well.

Vocals... sappy lyrics... tonally that could be Cherone singing and the mix/structure has III written all over it. Don't like the vocals with the exception of Michael's backing tracks... classic VH.

How many cocks ?? What are they detachable penises ?? I dunno you tell me ?? The thought of cocks in mouths didnt enter my mind in reagards to that pic. I guess it depends on what pre-occupies your mind.

Hina, this tune makes Humans Being a great, great song

Its an ok Riff, Solo is the worst I have ever heard EVH play. (Which is a total bummer).

Delude yourself all you like. This is not up to Van Halen's usual standards.

General Hiney: best song since Humans Being Homo ?

    you summed it up !

if it were really a good tune you would have said better than a Dave song which you know you could never bring yourself to say.

Daves last 2 songs with the boys is something spermmy will be trying to better from this day on and never will.
