What have the band been doing since? They scrapped the live album, for the 2008 x mas, market, because they fired Dave.
They have not compled one single track with Dave, over the last 12 months, towards a new studio album.

The brothers have been very busy this year with Wolfie finishing, graduating from high school and Ed getting married.
Dave decided to enjoy his cut of the money from the Reunion tour, lay low and wait for the brothers, rather then record a solo album or do a solo tour, which would stir up the media, starting up rumors and making the brothers pissed like in 85.
Dave has not gone to the press, in case, the deal with Hagar is not signed. Dave is the only option for ED/Al, if the deal falls through, unless they want to play small arenas and clubs, with a new singer!
Dave is being smart, because going to the press and spilling the beans, will reduce the slim chance, he has of being reinstalled as the singer!
This was Mr. and Mrs. Edward Van Halen's day... not Mr. Roth's photo op day, grasp that concept.

There were about 100 guests (including Valerie Bertinelli, Eddie's ex after 25 years of marriage) and the first dance was to Joe Cocker's You Are So Beautiful, chosen by the groom. The second dance, chosen by the bride, was to Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time. Janie's 15-year-old pomeranian Kano walked her down the aisle; her mother gave her away. Wolfie Van Halen gave his father away.
Other fun details:
-Ed and Janie wrote their entire ceremony and designed their wedding rings. Ed's is gold with yellow diamonds and Janie's is platinum with clear diamonds.
-There was a candy bar that featured nostalgia candies including pop rocks, wax lips, candy necklaces, lemon heads, etc.
-Mini cheese burgers, garlic parmesan fries with chipolte ketchup and mini corn dogs were served at the reception. Dinner was filet mignon, prawns, chicken and veggies.
-Toasts were done with Sparkling French Apple Cider and Sparkling Pear Juice.
-Guests left with either a Kate Spade or Calvin Klein vase and flowers
