Well, local beer cans are OUT of the question. (Too soft, so they end up muting the strings)
But these suckers works pretty fine.
Not every cheap lighter, though. The materials vary, so as a general rule: if it doesn't crack when opening a beer bottle, it's good.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Not very uniform, wouldnt recommmend it.....

I use to use a small slender glass bottle. I got up to find one, so I could answer what it was, but I couldn't find any in the house. I use to have them around all the time. Maybe it was a spice bottle, makeup bottle or a art supplies bottle. Well, while I was looking and seeing I had not a thing to play slide.... the lipstick tops (especially the metal ones) seemed to do for a pinch. A bit short, you couldn't be lazy with them. And I would hate to leave one of my lipsticks untopped!
