I just finished reading the book after buying it about a week ago. It made me realise just how selfish the Van Halens are, from the 'Blues Reunion' chapter. Also, that chapter proves that Dave is the star of Van Halen, when he walks out onto the MTV stage, gives the crowd a twirl and everybody's on their feet cheering their heads off. The VH's got pissed off with this because they realised that the band wasn't just about them. They also tried to set Dave up, spread bad publicity about him whenever they could, but without Dave they would never have got to where they did, so they should be grateful. Anyway it was interesting finding out about Dave's stories and his travels, his memories etc. and I think the book is great. The only thing I dislike about it is the way it's not in a time order - it jumps around a bit, which is confusing. He should release a follow up book with all his stories etc. as they'd be interesting to read. Anyone who's read the book: your opinions???
Also, my friends parents are going away for a few weeks and he's on his own for a week or two. Were planning on fishing his house and super-glueing things to his ceiling
