Jealous much Clay?
He admits the selector switch doesn't work - so why would anyone be jealous? If DJ read an interview with EVH saying neither pickup is hooked up, he'd tend to believe that also and leave both pickups disconnected.
Just kills you that people here actual build guitars and think your input is worthless, Mr Expert In Everything.
It pretty much was made to be "wall art"/ cuntversataion piece. A very well functioning one at that.
It's big enough to fit your needledick in that's for sure, Turdpusher...
Shut...up...STUPID!
Seeing as you obviously havn't see any close ups of the original.
Here's a couple of shots of the original. Seems the original had gap issues too.
Maybe you should send Ed a message via Myspace and tell him how to rectify the issue.
Is that your stab at humour? Weak, Bitch, nice try!
You're simply jealous of anyone that actually owns a guitar!
YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT THEY WERE'NT HOOKED UP???
Bwahahahahahha, how Savicki of you.
Guess Wikipedia didn't have any specs. on the status of the switch...
You def. are the Queen of self ownage! FYI, the wires are purely cosmetic!
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!
Let's recap:
GAyR, his pea brain thinking he's found a flaw to seize upon, incorrectly points out what is in actuality a correct visual on a Frankie replica, simultaneously showing he knows jack shit about replicas, and he also knows nada about the details of EVH's guitars = owns himself yet again.
Let's have him explain which EVH pic he's referring cuz there's two different ones here, post Diver Down which was when the "original" franky was retired and sold to mick mars.
The original neck fit perfect as it was an Ibanez "CBS" headstock, of which I have out from storage.
That I will do for you, take a shot of how tight the fit originally was. Not many people have one of these necks but its basically a Fender dimension.. except without the fucking up of the shape and oversanding on the edges like CBS era fenders
Ahahahahahahahaaaa!!!!
Now GARbage claims to have the "original" neck! Psst... ayy stupid, the original neck was broken on tour...
How fucking petty and feable... Give it up Bitch!
Thanks Douchebag for another wonderful post of self ownage!
Wow, only you can tell the difference between the same guitar in both those pics. The Mick Mars thing, talk out of you ass much? Busted in another lie, Clay.
That's weird because Wayne Charvel says thisLies, Lies and more lies, Clay!
So he got the guitar body on the cover of the first record from you, right?
Uh-huh.
What kind of body was it?
It was one that we made
Did he get the neck from you also?
Yeah. We had a Danelectro guitar in there with a flat fingerboard. Great little guitars, great necks. No truss rod in ‘em, stayed in tune, the necks never warped. Never seen a bad Danelectro. Short-scale. Well, he was playing that, I think that belonged to Karl Sandoval (master guitar builder of the day); I can’t remember. It was either mine or his, and Eddie was playing it. He goes, “Whoa, this is great!” Because you can get the action low enough on a flat fingerboard and bend a string without it choking up. So he says, “Man, I’ve got to have one of these necks. Can you put one on the Strat body? I said, “Well, the scale is shorter. We’ll have to pull in where the hole is or not route it, and put the bridge up closer.” So we did a guitar like that, too. He was knocked out by that.
Wasn’t that first body and neck seconds that Linn Ellsworth (another manufacturer I had interviewed for the aborted book) had sold to you?
At that time, we were getting some necks and some bodies from Linn, but we got our routers and we were making bodies. To the best of my recollection, the neck was probably an Ellsworth neck and the body was ours, as far as I know. That first white one, I’m pretty sure was our body.
What kind of wood did you use?
It was either alder or ash. I think it was ash because we were doin’ a lot of ash bodies then. I would be probably certain in saying that it was ash. You could probably double-check with him if you wanted to (which I did, as I mentioned earlier). When you’re writin’ a book, you want to try to get it as authentic as possible.

GARbage... pwn3d again...
Well done Kwame!
I will post pics of the last neck EVH had on the original Franky body, which one: the last one seen in public before it was sold: circa 1982.
That was an Ibanez neck, Ellsworth didn't make maple-fingerboarded maple necks. He didn't have to because he rear-loaded the trussrod in with the walnut cap over it and if you keep being an asshole on the issue by misquoting me and misowning me I won't share the only photos I've offered to this point.
- sorry, "skunk-stripe" trussrod.. in Idiotspeak, before you misquote me even further on the meaning of that!
Back up your words know-it-all!
So you're saying Eddie sold the guitar in 1982? Link please!
So now you're saying the last neck before he sold it but you posted this.......Don't need to misquote you, Clay.......you can't even quote yourself correctly. Hard to keep all those lies straight?Originally Posted by GAR

You'd never post a pic anyways because you don't have any,:tongue0011:
Have it your way, dick!
You're back on Ignore User, and I'm off the hook to share any pics.
Mid 70s Ibz necks are dupes of CBS Fenders, and some are actually better than the real ones of the era. They fit a stock Strat neck pocket perfectly with no gaps.
You want links - you're a web addict! Get the fuck out and have a life, meet some people, enjoy some real people conversation.
Not everything I'm gonna say is verifiable via the web because I'm first-person in many cases speaking from what I've seen and done, and who I've known and met. I suggest if you want to, the ultimate verification is meeting and knowing these people.
We're talking Eddie's necks not yours......of course you say you own his, right?
Aw, what's wrong little fella the constant owning getting to ya?You want links - you're a web addict! Get the fuck out and have a life, meet some people, enjoy some real people conversation.

In other words I can't back up shit because it's all made up.
On a side note, no one here believed you would post any pics so the bar was set incredibly low........kinda like what you're parents expected from you
Do you realize you spent $450 on wall art which is only half-recoverable, *if* you list it on eBay?
no no, don't do that. Use "kijiji.com" - ELVH Inc don't give a shit about an auction site with 5,000 registered members. You won't get shut down.
/ignoremode..
Why the fuck would I make it and turn around and sell it? I built this fucker for ME, you worthless Bloodfart!
Sometimes I feel like I'm holding GAR by his hair and he's swingin at me, and I'm eatin a sandwich!
Translation: I say you're on "Ignore" and then I'll reply to your post's!
Hey I told what would happen if he kept on with the insults before I got home..
Sounds like you were really looking forward to me sharing even a little something!

Too bad, another build thread hijacked.
That's post-5150, isn't it?
The build is fine! But it's not worthy of the boast "25K, Fender can suck my dick" alright.. that's an invitation for a dessication right there!
Indeedido's build was pretty damn cool also. But the point is, they made them themselves, in the same spirit that the original Frankie was built. I believe they are indeed worth the "Fender can suck it" boasts -certainly in the owners opinions (yours matters not). The $25 replica is for the same weenies that buy PRS Dragons and shit. Disposable income aplenty, but not necessarily real players. But it's far cooler, IMO to get the exact parts of your choice and do it yourself, just like EVH did originally.
So again, STFU.

Spot on Hale!
That's why I love seeing you guys post pics of your builds. Many musicians have been in a similar position as Eddie, not able to find off the rack stuff that suits their needs. Whether you're doing a replica or tweaking your gear to get a certain sound, it makes no difference.
The spirit of do-it-yourself is alive and well,
Kudos to all you builders out there!
Sad it has to come to that..........
