That, and you completely proved what we've been talking about here and elsewhere on the interwebs since the $25K replica came out...you can do as well (if not better) by yourself with a little bit of knowledge and the right parts. Congrats!!


Eventually, I'd like to have replicas of this and the O.G. B/W Frankie hanging on the walls....I still kinda want a bumblebee, too....might as well go for the trinity, right?

Funny thing. When my bassplayer saw it he's like "Sooo Jim. Yer not like,gonna play that all night are ya?!" I'm like, Dude I might pull 'er out for an encore or two once in a blue moon... He nontheless was relieved.

I built it basically as a challenge to myself and for a cool "wallhanger" that I can actually take down and kick ass with.
The "Unchained" guitar would be cool one day.
I remember seeing him use that ,up close, on the Fair Warning tour (2nd row floors at the feet of the king) thinking it was kinda cool. I like what he unded up painting it with the multi colours before handing it down to Dweezil. I think he actually used different coloured tape. (I could be wrong)

I'd like to do a VH1 Frankie sometime. That one's pretty easy.
But I'm probably gonna build me a Hale special seeing as I have an extra original Floyd and a bunch of pickups and stuff layin about!

I'm pretty sure the Unchained guitar still exists somewhere; and almost certain the "Rasta" that Dweezil now has is one of the first old-school Strat-headstocked Kramer Pacers he got. If you look closely, it's not a true "Strat" body shape like the Unchained, and it originally had one of those god-awful Rockinger tremolos on it (...ewwww) and Unchained had an early Floyd. Pretty sure it was originally purple or something underneath all the multicolored tape...also, there's the neck pickup...

Seriously, I'm 4,000 miles away and I know yer gits cuntpletely kick major ass. I want a Floyd'd out, toned out ripper. Strat style gits can take an amazing amount of abuse.
