What is this, I know you are but what am I time?
You prefer "asshat"?
Through trying to derail the thread, dumbass?
Stop namedropping.
You can't deny the truth. Kiss the ring, troll!
But nothing!
The body and neck are quality, anyone with an inkling for guitars can plainly see, Peabrain.
As for playability, it plays and sounds sweet! Probably almost as good as your plywood/bolt on Charvette!
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!
I glue all my bolton necks into the slot.
By "slot" do you mean neck pocket? I doubt just glueing a neck into a neck pocket is going to equate into transferance of string vibration or tone. As we all know, when Gibson glues a neck on a les paul, it does so with a tenon joint. That tenon joint gives a tight fit. Much tighter than your glueing of a bolt on. Your idea equals failure.
No, I use Elmer's white glue. If I wanna change a neck, a little sideways bap with the edge of my fist will break the bond easy after the screws come out. And once it sets, no side-side wiggle ever.
Try it with your next build. I make a small smiley face bead of glue not very thick in between the neck bolts before I drive the screws in squishing the neck together with the body. If I take it apart, I dont' peel the old glue, just add a little more. If I change the neck, I do peel the glue out with a safety razor or chisel.
It helps if you change lots of necks on a favorite body.
and you play...
You can make smiley faces with Elmer's Glue but can you built one of these muthafuckers?
Hey, look ,I just made a smiley face!!!
Had the original in my hands years ago.
I was told the reason for the quarter, I'm probably the only one here who knows.
Ed didn't glue his neck down either but he did want more transference. Note the extra two screws under the plate. Not sure this works either but he's a "tone chaser".
So you've decided to pop by and get the runs all over this thread again, huh?!
Each post of mine generates about 6 of you Sheep Pen trolls' replys, is that what you mean?
Fuck off!
I stick my neck into the slot and it shoots white glue.
The quarter was there so Eddie could always call home if he got in trouble. No cell phones in those days.
DJimi, how does it sound?
That's the important thing, yes?
Very nice, thanks. Warm tone with great sustain ringin through it. Thinkin about changing the pickup to a Duncan JB or Pearly Gates. Still need to upgrade the block. It looks great hangin on the Cedar wall in my studio. Friends who pop in an see it for the first time are trippin on it.
I'll post something in the near future once I have a chance to record a sample...
You must come to realize, that when he means "tripping" it means they're amazed by it. Not walking on his guitars. But that would certainly be a good relic process for the Frankenstrat... Eddie literally would throw his guitars in the bed of his truck when he went around town.
Reading Crazy From the Heat in four hours flat, in a cramped RV, on the return trip of a 3,000+ mile family outing to New Jersey is an enlightening experience you'll never forget.
He's too young to understand sarcasm, what's your excuse - lobatamy?
Pig flu? Canatardism?
