    Presskit for jazzband

Hi..didn't know where to post this but I googled it a bit but wanna ask here.
I got an email from one of the biggest jazz fests in the world.
I'm trying to promote my guitar teacher who is already pretty famous but they want a presskit and he doesn't have one..I gotta help make one.
Whats the best way to do it?
What is very important to include?

Is it just sending a dvd/cd with bio and published press articles about the band + resume?

I wanna do this right..don't wanna just google and find out.
    There are musicians here.

    What you're doing sounds right.

A pic, bio, audio, and video.

Just make sure you don't send a whole CD, you want the 3 strongest tracks, and the best vid you've got. 1 song and make it killer, cause those dudes aren't gonna take the time to watch an hour of footage, or listen to a whole cd.

    Brevity is key. Good luck.
It's a shame that families should be torn apart by something as simple as....wild dogs

Pretty much nailed it. The only thing I'd add would be say, web-links if available, in case someone who gets the package cares to delve deeper...

          Gar,
Cheesy can be funny. Greasy is not cool.

Did you make an appointment yet?
To put it simply, we need to worry a lot less about how to communicate our actions and much more about what our actions communicate.

Right, I forgot about that. It's been so long since I sent out a press kit.
