The clock is ticking and all he can think of doing is everything BUT make a new record. Typical VH sisters. They did absolutely nothing to capitalize of the momentum they built with the last tour. No DVD, nothing from the archives, FUCK ALL.
By the time they release an album, Ed's probably gonna look like this...No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

That's Ed's new D2H (Drop to Hell) bridge that he'll be selling soon.
It's for hard-tail guitars that allows you to switch to a Drop-D tuning on the fly like the D-Tuna for Floyd Rose bridges.
The reason there's no trem bar is because it's a hard-tail setup and no trem...
Also one doesn't need a trem-bar attached for a photo shoot..."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

In one photo the drop to hell has a little paddle thing that reminds me of the little stubby arm that you used to see on some Kahler trems. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Here's an earlier Drop to Hell with what looks to be a palm paddle arm on it.

From what I can see it's a pitch bender for the big E string. The arm is attached to a shaft that has an adjustable knob that looks like it controls the amount of travel. Then there's an extension that controls the tailpiece furrel that holds the ball of the E string. The other strings just seem to have fine tuners on them. So it looks like you can dive bomb just the big E string. So it's basically a D-Tuna plus. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Ed was gracious enough to take pictures with each and every person in the room (with cigarette breaks, naturally) and was clearly pretty excited about his new partnership with FMIC. He talked a lot about his new toy, the Drop to Hell Tailpiece. This fine-tunable stop tailpiece can drop the low string over an octave and back again, with accuracy that he claims has never before been seen. We're looking forward to seeing that piece of hardware over the next couple of months. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Drop B is pretty low in itself. A, which is two steps lower, seems pretty low and fits the aptly-named title, "Drop2Hell".Reading Crazy From the Heat in four hours flat, in a cramped RV, on the return trip of a 3,000+ mile family outing to New Jersey is an enlightening experience you'll never forget.Comment
