My friends and I went to see them every time they played South Florida. They were not huge, but were popular enough to sell out
The Hollywood Sportatorium whenever they came to town. They never failed to put on a terrific show. In fact, Dan broke his leg one year during a tour, and rather than cancel the show, he performed by sitting on a stool with his leg in a cast. The only other performer I've ever seen with the guts and determination to do something like this was Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, who once played here in a wheelchair after messing up his leg.
Imagine some of the so-called artists of today doing such a thing. Not likely. That is the sort of thing that earns the respect as well as the undying appreciation and devotion of fans. This is the band's website:
Nazareth | The Real Nazareth They put out an album of new material last year called
The Newz, and it is quite terrific.
