Does anybody know what Dave drives now? How many cars he has now? What kinds of cars he has had in the past? His first big payday car? Other than the Panama car and the pick jeep. Anybody?

CREEM magazine used to run a monthly feature of "Star's Cars". There was a picture in the early eighties of a Mercedes that Dave owned. It had a huge skull and crossbones on the hood. Sadky, I could not come up with the image.

Of course, this one might be familiar from the "Hot For Teacher" video...

Just the main garages seen in the front of his home could probably hold 4 or 5 cars. Somehow I picture him in something classic but not too flashy. Something he can drive out in and not draw much attention.

Dave loves attention when it's within his terms. Onstage, on-air, promoting an album, interview, etc... But when he isn't the rock star and just regular Dave, he is very quiet and good at being incognito. Other than the $10 bag of weed he bought and got busted for, he is not seen out very frequently. And in today's world of paparazzi everywhere, cell phone cameras, etc.. you'd think there would be a snapshot of him somewhere.

I had to scan this in three parts and put it together again (due to size of scanner) - it was a double page spread in a 2007 Creem coffee table book. This is the skull and crossbones car.
