I don't play acoustic that much. The one I have is a nice Guild, but last summer I played a friends martin (the one above) and instantly wanted one.
I need some acoustic lessons! Blackbird and Stuck on you are about as deep as I get on acoustic!
Is there such a thing as Girlfriend DeAcquisition Syndrome?
If I can get her to leave I could actually get some tinkering done here.
Those narrofield pickups look alot like Duncan.
I could go for a Martin D-41, too!
I want one of these again
I should probably finish the two projects I got $talled on (taking time off to record is all cool until you start missing the additional weekend-club gig income - not to mention the bar sluts... )before I start seriously allowing myself to G.A.S. for anything else...the 2nd Charvel beast is 90% (re)done, 'cept now I'm debating about using a different Musikraft body instead of the 1-piece Ash one that just looks too cool to do a solid on, and I'm dropping for the neck for the Kramer shortly thereafter - then those are DONE.
But then I need to start fleshing out the home studio setup more -need to pick up a good acoustic, I still need a Bass...a keyboard/controller would be a very smart investment in my system too, so I could start seriously getting my MIDI on... Not to mention would be incentive become a more functional keyboard player instead of my current "hunt and peck" mode...lol
Amp-wise, already GAS'ing for a Boogie MK V, a modded Metro Plexi Clone (I really want to go to that Caswell dude with a kit and say "I want what you made for Doug Aldrich". That thing was INSANE  )...and say, four Scumback-loaded Mojo 4x12 cabs while we're at it...why not?
One thing I hope to pick up this year is an Apogee ONE, and the parts for my amps if I could get free time to it.
Actually, I had ordered one three (almost four) months ago, but I cancelled it...
'Cause these Helsinki-swines of boutique snobbery hadn't gotten around to shipping it!
(Apparently, my reputation's spreading across the land. )
They may be snobs, but they have a nice collection of tone-related articles.
If they posted them on their site I'm guessing they at least took the time to read 'em.
THIS would be kinda cool to have on the pedalboard to augment clean tones ('specially for covers), but talk about a dead-on replica....no AC jack or LED?
Transconductance opamps have a different sound than audio opamps, thats all.
Noisey, too. Not great for metal or higain distortion applications.
You did read the part where I mentioned it'd be more useful for cleans, yes?
Your amp's clean channel has what I think is enough natural tube compression that this wouldn't help you.
The Ross grey compressor circuit is the one you want with a Boogie.
Gonna disagree with you there.
Wasn't a big fan of Ross stuff when I was a kid...do they even still make 'em?
No. But they go for $500 or more on ebay, which is why a botique clone is the way to go, around $100 online.
Those pretty Moolon etched polished pedals, I think the dude told me his was the Ross circuit when I asked him. I wouldn't mind having that. He's in Korea.
