For the first time in the never ending argument over who was the best singer for Van Halen, finally the smaller Hagar faction has sided with its much larger and more representative voice of the people, the fans of original Van Halen.
Fans of both era's have been almost unanimous in declaring the first offering of the recently reformed "Van Hagar" as sub standard and a total dissapointment given the six years the band has kept its fans waiting.
In a strange twist of fate, both Roth Era and Sammy Era fans have agreed that the new single is an embarrasment to the Van Halen legacy.
Persons close to the Van Halen machine are shocked at this apparent mutual agreement after years of dispute. Before the final judges gavel slams down the sentence on this farcical attempt of resurrection, most Hagar fans are desperatley hopeful that "Its about time" is the
weakest of the three new tracks and that the remaing two songs will still reward the Hagar faitfhul.
Meanwhile, Van Hagar themselves, on a guaranteed fix fee per show
reagardless of turnout, are announcing more and more second shows. The more astute amongst the Van Halen fanbase questioning why, when the original venues are barely half full...
Those close to the DLR camp are tight lipped as Roth refused to participate on these substandard offerings by a guitarist requiring intervention.
