Def Leppard, Their early shit was rocking. High & Dry !! Brother Cane, One of the best 90's band's, & Let There Be Rock on DVD. The only thing AC/DC hasn't released yet !! Bon Scott rule's.

Shit I was going to put this in house of music !! Sorry
Clark's demise in 91 in my mind just kinda killed it all.
I always dug the band, but never really heard how much he was a driving force till he was gone, my bad times 10.
Whatever critisizm you............ had if you looked stage left, you knew you were getting more than you monies worth.
I think Sammy Hagar started producing them after Hysteria.
"Bumper sticker on my rocket's ass: go home, the earth is full." DLR
Def Leppard started going downhill the minute they fired Pete Willis. And playing electronic drums on Pyromania instead of REAL drums (remember, Rick Allen still had two arms then, so it wasn't a matter of accommodating his physical limitations on that album)

Oh c'mon...he still has two arms...don't fall for that fucking CGI shit...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."
No that was all Mutt....I read that Rick had to play all the drums separately to give the isolation Mutt wanted. One drum at a time, one cymbal at a time and so on......I'll have to find that interview by Rick. According to Rick Allen they were real drums just heavily processed.
Combination of Loosing Steamin Steve and Mutt's producing... mostly losing Steve IMO.

The last Lep CD was pretty solid. But losing Clark was bad.

Nate, so cool. I'm listening to the Dallas feed, so it'll be coming up in a while. Can't wait!
Pyromania was decent.
Hysteria and everything beyond was just WAY fucking overproduced. Overproduced to the point where any rawness of the tunes was wrung out by too much multi-tracking and overdubbing.
Yeah, and Clark dying didn't help. Shame Vivian Campbell turned out to be such a dud in that band.
Scramby eggs and bacon.
I Miss Leppard...they're another band that had three kick ass live vids on MTV that need to release that whole show...again, wtf?
Probably unfair, but I just don't consider Def Leppard after Steve passed. Kind of a bummer to find out how down he was on himself. Unfortunate he never was able to realize he may have not played the lion's share of the leads, but he colored Leppard's music, if you get my meaning.
Just a heartbreaker of a loss. In Steve, I saw Jimmy Page, Keith Richards and Joe Perry. His input is definitely missed...
Although In the Round is cool, that is not the live stuff I was referring to...if you remember MTV in the early days, they aired live vids from the High and Dry tour for Let It Go, High & Dry and Bringin' On The Heartbreak around the same time as the Oakland '81 trio
Eventhough it was probably a short set, as they were openers on that tour for the likes of Ozzy and AC/DC.
It's been awhile since I've seen them, they may have had the studio version of the songs dubbed over the footage.
In fact, they did:

I have Let There Be Rock on DVD.
But I created it as I have a factory-produced VHS tape.
