    Looking For a particular bootleg

I was wondering if anyone had Van Halen playing in Fresno, 1978.

It's called either "Hellooooo Fresno!" or "Never Fear!" but they both are the same boot, captured from the same show on 9-22-1978, in Fresno, CA.

I'd be very grateful to trade if anyone has the show, or, knows where to find it for download. I'd be SUPER thankful if somebody uploaded this to Megaupload or Rapidshare.

    Thanks!

Reading Crazy From the Heat in four hours flat, in a cramped RV, on the return trip of a 3,000+ mile family outing to New Jersey is an enlightening experience you'll never forget.

Do not seek out Hellooooo Fresno!. It really is a crummy recording to begin with, and has been stepped on through many transfers. I'm pretty sure that you can get a good copy of "Never Fear" over at Jamtothis. (I was going to suggest Guitars101, but I see you've already asked there. )

I looked there. They have it up as a torrent, but there aren't any seeders, and I don't know where to find a tracker for it...

Have you tried VH Trading? It really is a great resource. And for more info on various VH bootlegs, try this: Van Halen Bootlegs

Yeah, i've checked out VHBoots. Pretty resourceful.

I've not looked at VH Trading though... I'll give that a try. Thanks, mate.

I believe I have it somewhere, but as I am on dialup, I can't upload it. Even if I had broadband, I would have to find it, and god knows where the fuck it is in my collection.

I got it only because it is the closest date available in bootleg land to when I saw them 9/29/78 in Seattle.

Ah, thanks anyway man. You can't upload one song at a time though? Assuming they're MP3's...

If not, I appreciate thinking of me anyway.

You gotta understand....I have boxes and boxes of CDs, no organization. It would take me forever to find it. I will see if I can. Hope I am not remembering that I have 3/25/79, the opening night of the 2nd album world tour, which was also in Fresno.

In the meantime, here is video from that show:

i have the fresno show in flac, it's audience, the sound is crisp and clear, as well as i also have the black sabbath set from that night, also flac.
i don't remember where i got them, but someone cleaned them up really nicely
and made flac files out of them.

Thanks man.... Would you consider uploading it to MegaUpload? I'll upload a boot or two that you want if you do that... And i'll download your album and tell you what I think...

                    Is that a deal?

                          Just a suggestion...

I see a lot of people looking for specific boots and then someone answers with invariably one of several resource links over and over.

Maybe you should have a reference thread stickied with all the most useful links.
