The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.― Stephen Hawking
I only want to talk to clever people!
Some of you guys must be retarded, if you believe there is no trouble in the camp!
Where the hell is all this material Edward claims to have written over the years? All the guy would talk about in the few interviews he has done is talk about how he has been writing music daily.
Why isnt Wolf pushing to do something..I assume High School is over and who the fuck needs college if your Dad is Eddie VH...the kid appears to have the same drive as his father. Shit man..kick pops in the ass, write some tunes, get on the road and bang some chicks already.
Trouble in the Van Halen camp?
Say it ain't so!
Fuck's sake, that's all the Van Halens have known since 1996.
There was trouble brewing throughout Roth's first tenure with the band.
The only time things were a case of fairly smooth sailing, in terms of the band getting along, was during the years 1986 to 1991.
Considering the music made during those years, it'd be a relief to hear the "band" (such as it is) WEREN'T getting along right now. Might bring some friction, which could result in a few sparks, to the table.
I mean, is it gonna be a huge shock should Roth depart again...if push comes to shove? I believe it'll be inevitable (hee hee) sooner or later.
Far as the Van Halens doing the last tour with Dave to possibly put the question of "When are you guys gonna reunite with Roth?" question to rest, I'll buy that. The Roth Reunion was gonna be a line of inquiry posed to the Van Halens for as long as they lived. For better or worse, they did it. It happened.
Let's say Roth is still in the fold, but "Van Halen" going forward was gonna amount to nothing more than Greatest Hits tours, well, fuck, they've already done that. If only more of the same was to be forthcoming, I really couldn't give a shit if they chucked Roth out and brought Hagar back. I'd rather see Roth put another slamming live unit together (with a guitarist who was able to make it to gigs sober and ready to play), hit the road solo-style and perform in smaller venues than spend his days waiting on the Van Halens to leave their home studio for another cash grab.
Scramby eggs and bacon.
Who knows about trouble better than the Van Halens... no worries though. Wolfie has a secret...

New Music For 2010,You Bet.
First Roth Army Kiwi To See Van Halen Live 6/16/2012 Phoenix Arizona.
There will be plenty of new music in 2010 Dan, but none of it will be recorded by Van Halen.
The Power Of The Riff Compels Me
Well, maybe Dan's right...still, I'll be very surprised if a new album does actually see the light of day. I wonder if it's possible for a band with Van Halen's reputation and popularity to just simply vanish and it's members never be heard from again?
Twistin' by the pool.
Happens every few years, Bob...
Most likely they'll announce a tour and may surprise us with a few new songs on tour but an album before touring looks very unlikely, if no single is released before April forget bout an album, whether they'll do an album after touring 2010 is any anybody's guess
What Bob said. But it could also be the lack of GOOD material on Ed's part... We can rest assured that Dave wants to put out a kick ass album of new killer tracks, but Ed hasn't even TRIED to write a good song in, what, 26 years?? I think they should just cover the "DLR Band" album(which only sold 2 copies) and release it under the VH banner -I'd be happy with that, as long as it doesn't resemble(even remotely) "Up for breakfast"....
If you listen to fools
The Mob Rules
I think another 'Best Of' with new tracks is the most likely scenario.......that's if we're getting anything new at all....
If it is a new 'Best of' CD,
Then this time it should be just a CVH best of with a few new tracks as well.
Add a nice bit of packaging as well and... yes i'd buy it!
There was a rumor that such a thing was intended for release around the beginning of the 2007 tour. No new material, but just another repackaging of the hits with Roth. As the tour took off, it apparently was deemed as unnecessary, and the plans for it's release were scrapped.
I've said for a while now that it still could see the light of day, with a couple of new songs added in order to have some product to support when the band hits the road again later in the year. From a practicality standpoint, it would eliminate both the time and pressure of expectation off the ever so fragile shoulders of Edward Van Halen. And of course, everyone needs yet another version of "Jump". It's beginning to become the band's "Rock and Roll All Night", since it's been repackaged so many times.
"Encore" is about right for a new VH album. What is an Encore? Songs we've all heard millions of times before. SO it looks like another Best Of-if anything at all. I think I'll go eat some hollow points now.
When the shit hits the fan, close your mouth and duck.
No no no no no
Everybody is UK Rocker's friend.
Because he's everybody's friend.
Hell, you'd think he'd been around here for YEARS...
Why would they even consider a CVH greatest hits album? Doesn't everyone already own the 6 pack twice, and in some cases three or 4 times over? Ahh fuck it , never mind.
