Real Go Getter- Had this on a VH bootleg vinyl back in the 80's
Would be cool to see Dave release an album of him singing old tunes with just him and a guitar.
Dave's a fine flatpicker ,imo...
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!
that is on a two disc set that we have also. great old stuff, interviews too.
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
Great find! Both this and "Tin Cup Chalice" are my two favorite Dave solo tunes ever, as they really capture a compelling side of the guy. This song is called "79th and Sunset". Dave performed it during a 1982 interview with Jim Ladd. The song was written by Steve Marriott, and originally appeared on Humble Pie's Rock On album from 1971.

Hell yeah, Tin Cup Chalice makes my hair stand on end.
It's a really grate fuckin' piece of work, that song.
I have both Tin Cup & Go Getter along with a shitload of other rare tracks thanks to the kindness & rawkness of my brutha Cato-san & the sweet, sweet Northern Grrrl.
