Did you know Peavey owns them? Bought them a few years ago. I've not tried one of them in person but they seem interesting.

I have some old Boss pedals I should sell. Problem is, who would want a used DD3?

Old Boss Pedals are great !

I had the DD2, that was a good delay pedal.
I bet the DD3 was better..
        Steel construction, indestructable microswitch...
I have some others here. a DS1 I think that is nearly
30 years old, looks like its been through a metal
recycling factory and still works like intended..

Theres a market for dudes trying to get exact
tones and effects from years gone by, I dont
think you would have trouble selling it

No probs whatsoever dumping a used DD3...any local Guitar Center or smart pawn shop dealer would take if off your hands if it's in decent shape, Kristy...

I had an old 80's boss distortion ( black and orange ) , don't know what happened to that.

I have but one seperate pedal now and that is a Boss metal zone , really well built , good sound but I don't use it as the Gnx takes care of everything.

I'd love to know what happened to my old Boss ODB-3. Probably left it at a gig, which is really regrettable. It didn't sound like a tinny, "Tom Sholtz Rockman buzzing disaster" like most pedals made for the bass in that era, even though it ate batteries with an incredible hunger. I finally broke down and bought a little Danelectro "Art Deco" power supply for it, something I don't even think is made anymore. Yep, lost that as well.

When I was a kid I had a Boss DS-1, which was pretty horrible sounding...but this morning I saw a DIY mod for it that reeeeally seems to improve its' tone and usefulness...

My favorite peddle is a good Fuzz Face. Those things are like and instrument in themselves and very temperature sensative because if they are cold they sound like shit, but once they warm up to room temperature a good one will sound wonderful. You can even make it sound un-fuzzy and use it more as a overdrive boost.

Although its technically not a pedal, and I ditched it a few years back,
I had some fun with the Line 6 Pod and Pod XT... Didnt think much of
the built in effects, but the amp and cab modelling was pretty cool.
One of those devices you could even plug into a ghetto blaster,
fuck around with the settings and have a somewhat reasonable
sound. Used as a DI into a decent mixer/PA (fookin Yamaha
studio effects) it almost became tempting not to lug the
old JCM up and down the stairs... But in the end, digital
is digital, and analog is analog, and to my blown out fucked
up ears, a tube solution always sounds better. But the Pod
                    has its place.

Digital modeling is great for at home situations but once you amplify it to venue loud levels you can hear how the sound has been cut up which is the weak point in digital processors compared to analog. Sitting at home in your bedroom or even recording to a MP3 they are fine but for live sound they are lacking.

A good tube amp still rules the stage.

The DD3 is the best digital delay pedal Boss ever made so much, that they still make it today.

If I could only have one pedal, it would be the wah - I love it more than anything.

You can't pull off that Leslie West / Montrose / Michael Schenker tone without it.
