The '80s band, who gave us the memorable video for their greatest hit 'Take on Me,' have decided to call it quits, EOnline.com reports.
Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy will tour one last time together this year, but it will be their last.
Although they only had one hit stateside, the trio -- who released nine studio albums -- were huge outside of America.
Sorry to put this in the 'House of Music'... I couldn't find the 'Who Gives A Fuck' section.
I had no idea they were still around :confused:

I have to hand it to the people who made that fucking video though...3 decades and billions of videos later, that ONE still stands out for its brilliance.

LOL...that poor lead singer from the Take On Me video. I remember all the girls saying how much cuter he was in animated form. Not a horrible song. Definitely one of those pure 80's tunes.

Only certain songs from the first two albums... "Cry Wolf" from the 2nd album is enjoyable. I like it better than "Take" because that one is still overplayed today.Great 80's Band.

Hey, the stuff they produced was good enough to sell a lot of product. Typical rump-ranger pop stuff that record companies drool over. Their songwriting is not bad.
Not my cup o' tea tho.
*crickets* They only had one popular song that I know of. What will their concert ever consist of? Take on Me in several different languages? Take on Me with a String Quartet, Big Band Take on Me, the Heavy Metal sounds of Take on Me? Just not feelin' it....
