The thing is, with a little bit of imagination and skill, these things featuring the isolated vocal can be quite entertaining. There was that version of The Beatles "Drive My Car" that used it for the verses, and the resulting mash-up was great. Outside of that and maybe two or three other clips, the endeavors has been a colossal waste of time for those creating them as well as for those who chose to listen to them.
