Is anyone else excited about Rampage Jackson Versus Rashad Evans This Weekend?

I fuckin' hate Rashad Evans. I am happy he lost to Machida.
Who do you guys like in this one?
Rampage looks a little heavy. I think he might have to cut some weight, but it's only a 3 round match. Rampage's last victory was against Jardine, and he didn't exactly dominate in that one.
My heart says Rampage, my brain says Rashad.
This fight has been building for some time.
Can't wait to see it to fruition!

The time I watched that UFC thing it seemed very homoerotic. Two sweaty men in their underwear lying down holding each other very tightly whilst wriggling and gasping. Every so often one of them bashed the other on the head and then they went back to the squeezing and wrestling. It went on like that for seemed like about 10 minutes and then one of them conceded.

    Just sayin...

Dude, the amount of energy you spend while "lying down" to avoid the other to grab an arm, leg, your neck, or something else that he can break is unbelievable.

Trust me, the LAST thing on your mind when you're in that situation is hanky-panky.

That said, I do agree with you that it's not exactly quality entertainment. It's actually quite boring to watch. I don't watch it.

      Cheers! :bottle:

I'm sure they aren't gay in any way but like you I just wouldn't want to watch it again.

Because real wrestling involves a lot of sweaty grabbing and wriggling and isn't much of a spectacle is why they invented faking it with the WWF and all the stuff that came later in the first place.

It's funny it's taken about 30 years to go full circle.

I still prefer pro-wrestling, but yeah, people nowadays are "too smart" to "fall for that shit" nowadays.

Things always go full circle, sooner or later... then again, pro-wrestling is so bad nowadays, even I don't watch that shit any more. When a pay per view has a (bad) title match mid card, it's about as low as it can get, really...

Maybe someday it'll get back to the good old days of real wrestlers who knew how to entertain & work a crowd with little more than a clothesline & a body slam. These guys nowadays can't put out an interesting match even if they literally kill themselves in the ring. Little wonder people prefer to watch grown men wriggling on the floor.

          Cheers! :bottle:

The UFC 114 pay-per-view violence-fest Saturday will be a defining day in the lives of Rashad Evans and Quinton Jackson. Former UFC light heavyweight champions, this may be the last time the loser even sniffs a title shot given the army of light heavyweight prospects coming down the pike. Meanwhile the winner

              SHERDOG is picking Rampage.
I would love it if Rampage can pull out the KO.

Rampage signed a 6 fight deal with UFC...this being fight #1. He's looking to avenge his losses against Forrest Griffith and Shogun, and maybe even Rashad Evans if he loses saturday night.

Yes, he looks a little thick around the waist. Training in a UK boxing gym tells me he's looking for a KO. But if he comes in out of shape and can't hang with Evans, he gets what he deserves. He's had plenty of time. He can't claim an injury held him back like he did in his losses to Griffith and Rua. No excuses.

Will he be allowed to fight if he's overweight?

I want to see Rashad use that pillow that Rampage sent him when he puts him to sleep! I hope he doesn't disappoint. With a 6 fight deal, I smell rematch either way.

I desperately want Rampage to knock Evans' head completely out of the octagon!

I hope the fuck Jackson wins! If he trains well after a victory, I can see him matching up well with Rua.

I'm picking Jackson. Ring rust be damned.

                        It'll be great saturday!

I am interested in seeing how the new talent will perform Saturday. The heavy weight division is going to display Todd Duffee. I am really interested in his fight. If he wins, he will be 7 and 0 and will definitely add some flair to the division. The kid is a beast. The headliner should be interesting. It will come down to which Rampage shows up. Rashad has been 100 percent focused on fighting. T

Rampage has been playing movie star. Ring rust has proven time and again to be the undoing of MMA fighters. Just ask Cung Le.

I think this fight is different. They genuinely hate each other! Rampage is motivated.
