2014 superbow in cold Frikken NY/NJ?? WTF..

Not a smart move IMO..just arrogance, like its 6 degrees in NY in feb lets go shopping the weekend before,
Ill pass bad move IMO. this is a time of year people like to get away and enjoy a nice weather
get a exciting feeling of spring is coming while the town is buzzing befoire the game.
these poor people are going to
sit in their hotels cause its too frikken cold & maybe go to dinner. The funny thing would be having
a charger/dallas outcome in 2014 & freeze their asses off, while all of us watch it on tv & laugh..
I dig the weather aspect, but for the big dance??
what if a gianormous front comes in & 3 ft of snow rolls in??
oops sorry folks, the closest time we have would be tues nite for a make up, the stadium
    is closed LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    just sayin

When you really think about it, outside of some civic pride for those that live in the host cities, what does it matter where the Super Bowl is played? For the majority of football fans, the game exists only within our living rooms as we watch it on tv. As far as rational expenditures within the cost of living index, tickets that start around 700 bucks a pop are largely outside our wheelhouse. If it happens to snow, this will only do two things: it would allow the lesser team an even playing field and reduce the amount of points scored. So for fans of the running game, this could result in a terrific event to watch. Or it could hamper visibility to such an extreme that the cameras would not be able to follow the action on the field, making this a very risky proposition. What is mystifying in all of this is why the commissioner would gamble the outcome of the most important game of the year not against a 25% chance of rain in a warm weather climate, but against a 100% chance of inclement weather.

Whatever happens, it truly doesn't matter to me, as I'll be sitting within the comforts of home while witnessing the game. And I'd be willing to bet that a great percentage of those who spent a ridiculous amount (to the average person, not to them) for the dubious pleasure of sitting in the cold will be wishing they'd done the same.

I've never heard so many people complain, not here the Internet as a whole, about the weather at a football game that they're not even going to attend.

    Um, yes.

Fortunately there's never been an earthquake when the Super Bowl has been held in California.

come to the superbowl! enjoy our interactive "nfl experience". run, throw, and catch with your mittens and golashes on. seems like a poor choice. when peeps do decide to spend the cash to attend a superbowl, they are treating it as a vacation of sorts. it's february, we should go to new jersey. wtf?

Although some recent SuperBowls have been entertaining, for the most part they are boring games.

Having watched the CFL Grey Cup played in inclement weather has done nothing but add to the experience.

Anything that focusses on the actual game versus the half-time infomercial is good for me for the NFL.

I think you might be surprised to see how factoring weather just makes for a more interesting game.
