    Well I spent all weekend at this less that great 3 day rock fest. Landed on Friday and went to check out the venue and get the lay of the land. Caught part of Great White and set through 2 songs by Twisted Sister. Great white was a good show.

    Saturday was a kick ass day. The Michael Schenker Group kicked some solid ass with special guest Herman the German setting in on drums for 1 song. Kinda cool.

    The Scorpians put on a solid show as did Cinderella. Dokken was well Dokken. It was kinda strange that right after Dokken played on the main stage Lynch Mob came out on the small stage. I couldn't help but think that was a shot to Lynch.

    RATT was the show I really wanted to see and it was well worth it. I was a little disappointed in the size of the crowd for all the shows. The place just wasn't real crowded. I would say the Scorps drew the biggest crowd of all the acts that were there. Anyway it was a good time.

    Schenker live is a blast if he's "on".

      I think the show renaming itself and moving from Pryor to the OKC Zoo hurts it a bit. It was more special when it was in the boondocks. I would have thought moving to OKC would draw a larger crowd though.

        25 years ago I'd have been interested. Not a slam to anyone who went. Hope they had a good time...it's just tiring to keep trotting out and see bands way past their prime trying to recreate the peaks of yesteryear. Sadly, there's not a heck of a lot going on in contemporary music that makes me wanna catch any of that live, either.

          I heard some news and notes on the show. I don't think they had enough attendance to break even so that is pretty sad. I also heard that when MSG played, all the bands came to watch. Ratt, L.A. Guns, Scorps all were side stage. Also heard that when Scorpions played, Schenker came out and did Another Piece of Meat with them. Oh yeah, Tom Kiefer's voice was awesome and Cinderella were real tight.
          For the most part, i agree with Terry. There really isn't a need to see Dokken anymore unless it is the original. I wouldn't care about seeing Lynch Mob even with Oni Logan singing. I also wouldn't care about seeing Warrant with Mason on vocals. The only thing i really would have been stoked about would be seeing Schenker doing his UFO stuff. I heard they did Lights Out and Rock Bottom.

            Kiefer kicked ass. MSG notes are correct. I agree with Dokken. Lynch mob was ok. I am a big fan of Lynch so I dug it. It was an historic event really. Sad that more people didn't come. The weather was a factor. It was hot as hell and it rained hard mid day on the last day. Fucking everything was expensive. Water was 4 dollars and beer was 6.

            At one point Piercy looked out in the crowd and said " No ones fuckin here. Also it was his daughters b-day. I didn't know he had a daughter.

                Rocklahoma sucked for the most part after year 1. In my opinion the Zoo was a poor choice of venues. The place will only holds about 9000 max. Parking sucks. No place to camp. They wouldn't let you take in an umbrella but a fucking chair was ok. No outside water yet it was easily 105 degree heat index for most of the show.

                That being said it was more intimate than Pryor. I got there late for the most part and we were only about 100 yards from the main stage. The sound quality was excellent. I was generally happy with the bands I saw.
