Most of the 80/81 boots sound like shit with the exception of a handful... check out vhboots.com for a little more info.
Quebec is a very clear sounding show, indeed, like you said a very nice show to have
Reading Crazy From the Heat in four hours flat, in a cramped RV, on the return trip of a 3,000+ mile family outing to New Jersey is an enlightening experience you'll never forget.

Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!

There is an audience tape of the June 11, 1981 Oakland show. The original recording was transferred to CD, but the source tape was really mangled in places, so the sound is dreadful. On top of that, some nitwit is blowing some sort of horn through more than half of the show. While not quite as annoying as those insipid vuvuzela horns during the World Cup, it still gets really old after even a few minutes.

Full Moon, Fair Warning is a great sounding '81 boot. It's the same show as Listen Up Eddie, but it's the complete show, whereas LUE isn't. Want me to burn ya a copy? PM me if you do. (Also, anyone that's interested.)

I wonder why no one mentions Sundown in San Diego. it's an awesome recording.

Anyway, staying back on topic... I'd have to say the best sounding FW tour show would have to be Home Ground... At least it's the best i've heard. There are some VERY good 1982 shows. Largo, for example, is a must have... You can find the audio rip on GH101, or if someone wants me to upload it, i'll do it. Another one is Where Did All The Good Times Go? That, or Everybody Wants a Virgin. All MUST-haves. I'm welcome to upload anything, I have a lot of bootlegs.

I've never heard of it, that could contribute to it...

EDIT: Oh wait, yes I have, it's the two San Diego shows from 1984. I have both. They're quite good

Home Ground is great. but most versions play faster than the actual speed they played at the time.
so I fixed the speed when I made the CD from my HG vinyl. and there's little noise on my version.

Good question. It should be in the boot trades forum.

I don't have a fast enough connection to upload the show. PM me with your address, and I'll send you a copy.
