Yeah, but Carvey was at least watchable. That fucking piece of shit Chris Kattan (or whatever his unfunny hack name was) did far worse.
Damn. Dennis Miller used to be so great. Wish he would get back into comedy full time. I think he jumped the shark about the time he tried Monday Night Football. That sound about right? or am I off?

That's about right. It was during that time that 9/11 happened, HBO canceled his show and he started showing up on cable news channels in his dour, right winged persona. It's been a downhill slide into the abyss ever since.
Yeah, pretty much a coin toss on that one...
I have to give him props, although he shifted way right nowadays, you really had to pay attention to "get" Dennis Miller's comedy act. He throws a lot of old literature and movie references in his act, and if you're too young (for example), it goes right over your head....
That's what I loved about his act. When I actually understood a joke, I felt so smart.
