"The Van Halen Story: The Early Years" question

Is this DVD woth getting? I was checking it out in amazon.com, when I noticed they're little "Better Together" deal was The Early Years DVD with Sammy Hagar & the Waboritas - The Long Road to Cabo.

WTF? Are the people at Amazon total idiots and there's no connection between the bridge drone troll and the DVD or do I not want to get this DVD at all?

Its worth getting. Those 'Better Together' deals are computer generated based upon what people usually click on while in the same visit or 'session'. My guess is there are lots of Hagaritas who click on Spammy's stuff, then get all bummed out and wish Dave was back in the band so they click on the 'Early Years' DVD...
Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"

I don't know. Being called the early years, I would assume that it deals with the time with Dave, but considering how many clueless people there are out there it doesn't hurt to be careful

and again, this is at least the third thread about this DVD. It wouldnt hurt to do a search to see if your subject has been talked about already...

Dont worry about it, its not a big deal. Just reminding people that there is a search function down at the bottom of the page...

It's one of those DVD's that are unauthorized by the band.

Basically a bunch of interviews with people loosely connected with the band during the early years, but there's no audio music or live concert footage on it all.

If you're into classic Van Halen bigtime, it's worth a look. If you're a casual fan, I'd give it a pass.

I just bought it the other day and I really like it. It's very informative and talks alot about when they formed and their club days and stuff like that.
