Yeah, when they sacrificed Conan for Leno's ego, but kept that talentless loser Fallon on the payroll, I knew something was fucked up.
Fuck it, I watch Stewart & Colbert anyway. And Letterman, if they aren't on.

The dj blatherings sound like bullshit, but it wouldn't be a shock to see Anthony hook up with the Van Halens again.
Clearly the "band" isn't in too much of a hurry to do much of anything...least not anything that will be released (who gives a fuck how much time the band are putting in the studio if we never get to hear the results? Ed's been wanking in there for the last 12 years and we got...what...5 tunes to show for it?).
Scramby eggs and bacon.
Yeah...I'm still not entirely convinced that Mike's not doing something with them, even if he's just going in the studio by himself to play. It wouldn't be entirely outside of the realm of possibility to have him drive up to 5150 at night, go in the studio to play on whatever they've got and go back to his life in between everybody elses schedules. It's not like we're getting up to the minute updates from Van Halen's, uh, "management" either so they could very well just be keeping it under wraps. Maybe Azoff did, in fact, tell them that the only way they're going to remain viable is if they market the next album as a full reunion album/tour thing and then just kept it under wraps until they're ready to release it and tour...?
No reason Anthony wouldn't have time to do it and go back to Sammy's birthday party. Hagar isn't going to give Mike the "Van Halen or me!" ultimatum anyway...Hagar's a douchebag, but he's not going to step on his boyfriend's toes about anything.
I mean, I guess anything's possible. I don't want to entirely give up hope just yet. More likely than not, we'll see the end of Van Halen as a functioning entity after this "thing" happens (if it happens), and it really doesn't feel right that the original four won't ever share the stage again. More than just a normal "Life's not fair!" thing, more akin to a cosmic goof-up.
After losing Ronnie James Dio before Sharon Osbourne, I think the universe is due to throw us SOME good fortune, don't you?
Twistin' by the pool.
Bottom line life is too short for the juvenile bs!!
What they should do is have an intervention like Metallica did and squash all the nonsense but we know that won't happen to much like right.
The original members along with a new cd, tour & release the vaults, the amount of money they could stand to make would be ridiculous!!
That sounds like wishful thinking on everybody's part.
I too think that if Wolf could sing, we'd never have Roth back. So... he's gonna stay in bass. Whether he wants to or not. His allowance depends on it.
Cheers! :bottle:

This whole thread is based on the assumption that there is actually an album being recorded. And having witnessed what has happened over the last 25+ years, I am still not convinced of THAT....

If there is a new album Ed will probably end up doing the bass (shudder).Has Ed or Alex actually said they are recording yet?.All this talk of Mike recording with them is pretty premature
I really love you baby, I love what you've got
Let's get together we can, Get hot
Radio people just aren't as informed as they used to be. They mentioned Van Halen's planned album & tour for next year on the Stephanie Miller show this morning, and half the people there apparently didn't even know Dave was back in the band until they read this.
I mean yeah, it's talk radio, not music radio, but for fucks sake, the show originates in Los Angeles. How the fuck does anyone in southern California NOT know that one of the biggest bands to ever come out of that area (arguably the Beach Boys and the Doors were more famous) got back together about 3 1/2 years ago?
It's true! I've actually done that...
I started the rumor 2 years ago on a few messageboards that Chickenfoots original name was MercyFlush, but a punk-rock band from Oregon had the rights to the name and threatened to sue, so they settled on the name Chickenfoot...
....that fucking tale made the rounds through the internet at the speed of sound, and there's probably some gullable fucker telling all of his friends that very story today.

I say we get Rikk to crank out another one of these gems: CLICK
That would get the internets goin....
Only if I get enough advance warning to stock up on the ammo I'll need for the rabid sheep stampede that would accompany one of those threads.
If they don't have any new material and they want to tour I think this is the only way they will match the numbers of the last tour!
Came across this on the interwebs. But upon further review it appears Danny Bonaduce was just another aborted replacement for Mikey back in the day.
