hey does anyone know what this is?
it seems to be a product of Bill Lawrence. but it's not an L-500 because it has no blade magnets.
what's the name of this one?

It looks like something you hook up to a car battery and buzz your girl friends clit with.

Nice pink sheets, nancyboy.
History on this was initially it was designed for Shadow Pickups who went out of business and stiffed him, so he renamed them and put them out himself, keeping the Shadow "tub" idea.
There's also a PAF style model styled in "tub" I have been hanging onto someday for a rewind...

My favorite Bill PU is the ones he made and sold under "OBL Germany" for Gibson 1987 - 1990.
It's the one lead pickup shared among gibson "90" series 24 fret models: SG90, Les Paul 90, Explorer 90 (aka Rudy Schenker model) and Flying V90.
It has a circuit-board bottom plate, bobbins tops are black with a rough matte finish, and looks cheap but sounds fantastic. It's just a perfect pickup for single-hum guitars!
