"Nothing gets a yak over a suspension bridge faster than 'Back in the Saddle Again' by Aerosmith" ~ DLR
That is the single version, which differs from the one used for the show. Post rerecorded the tune and released it as a single in the early seventies. Larry Carlton played on yet another version of the song, recorded for a 1982 album Post released featuring extremely awful remakes of his tv theme songs.
The amount of work Post did for VH III came down to recording the piano part for the album's opening, and little else. Warner Brothers refused to let Edward Van Halen produce the album (one listen to it explains why), so Post (one of Ed's golf buddies) agreed to lend his name to the project. You can imagine that Mr. Post will never make such a mistake again, even though the album sold so poorly that outside of a handful of VH fans, nobody noticed his involvement.

I'm pretty sure that is the track he broke a string on, but kept on playing anyway.
I'd soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jump Jack White's bones right there and right then. I don't know what it is about him but that man turns me the fuck on.

SunisinuS, have you ever heard the version of "Song For The Dumped" performed by Folds alone? He does it as a ballad, and is available on the Ben Folds Live CD/DVD from 2002. Naturally, there isn't a decent version available at Youtube, but if you get a chance, check out the album. It really is a terrific recording.
The Tubes were awe inspiring.
See? They can't get all of us.

That is odd, I looked everywhere for that version of "SFTD", to the point I was going to upload it myself! Thanks for the clip.
I wish the entire show was included on the DVD instead of a mere six songs. The version of "Fred Jones Pt. 2" was mind blowing.
The song "Rock This Bitch" was made up on the spot when a fan yelled out the words. One of the high-points of his shows was when he would create songs by improvising them. Check this out.
Here, he does it with an orchestra!

Lol my friends used to say...I have never seen anybody surf like you do. We will proceed. We will make the corporate respect the artist. We will get there.

About four or five years ago, Youtube merged with Google. What happened next is the two search engines seemed to cancel each other out at times, so if you were looking for something a bit obscure you in effect needed to go to Google to search Youtube. It is still a mess now, and is further confounded by record companies pulling material. You can type in and receive prompts for what you are looking for, only to have it lead to nothing when you click on the leads. Oddly enough, if you intentionally misspell words in the search tag, you are led to what you wanted, while spelling the terms correctly does not! It's bonkers.
Look at some of my other posts. We will not let this stand. Music will come back to the artist. We will do this. And this is not some bullshit rip off. We are fans of the Artist. Just ask Ford how hard it was. Just ask him how the Dead lead the way. Sorry fucks. Do not Tread on Us.

Now those song she writes And, lordy, the way she sings. Too bad our friends don't care about such little things. She don't spare the child. she don't spoil the rod. She just gets rich 'cause she works for God! I'm talkin' 'bout Amy ... Amy ... Amy ... Amy Grant!
Now when she first met Jesus [She] didn't know what to say but he gave her a guitar and he told her what to play. He said "Amy, don't you play a lot of jazz and don't you play none of that hard rock. What the people wanna hear is pure unadulterated schlock. I'm talkin' to Amy...Amy... Amy Grant!"

This song smokes. Reportedly DLR laid Chem Bros on the VH bros as new direction for the band during one of their aborted comebacks.
