    Fantasy Football News 11/23

    Giants desperate for WR help
Kevin Curtis will likely be among the receivers that the Giants bring in for a tryout on Tuesday, and he could get signed, the New York Daily News reports.

Michael Clayton will work out for the Giants on Tuesday, Pro Football Talk reports. Ralph Vacchiano of The Daily News tweets that the NY Giants would have to pay a transfer fee of $150K to add Michael Clayton from the UFL.

Homo likely out until week 16 or later
Tony Romo (collarbone) underwent X-rays on Monday to check on his healing progress, and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the quarterback's timetable remains unchanged. The paper says that the Cowboys don't expect Romo back until Week 16.

    Portis update
Jason Reid of The Washington Post tweets that an MRI on Clinton Portis's ever-sore groin came back with nothing.

    Lions Injury Updates
The Detroit News believes tight end, Tony Scheffler (ribs) is a big 'if' for Thursday's afternoon contest with New England.

The Detroit News says that kicker Jason Hanson (knee) is still quite a ways off from returning to the field.

Dave Birkett of The Detroit News tweets that Jahvid Best (toes) did participate in practice on Tuesday, but he's not 100% by any means.

Palmer will play but who really cares?
Joe Reedy of The Cincinnati Enquirer tweets that Bengals' coach Marv Lewis has said that Carson Palmer (foot) will play on Thursday against the Jets.

    Addai news
Joseph Addai (neck) tells The Indianapolis Star that he is taking his injury 'day-by-day.' Some real Addai news wouldbe if this wuss wasn't actually hurt for once.

Patrick Crayton injures wrist, Jackson ready to return?
Chargers wide receiver Patrick Crayton dislocated his wrist during Monday night's win over the Broncos, a league source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Clayton is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday to help determine whether he will be able to play again this season, according to the source.

Crayton caught three passes for 105 yards and scored his first touchdown of the season in the Chargers' 35-14 win on Monday night. He has 28 catches for 514 yards this season.

If Crayton is out for an extended period, questions about the Chargers' depth at receiver could be answered by the return of receiver Vincent Jackson, who will be eligible to play for the first time this season on Sunday night.

Jackson rejoined the Chargers late last month after a lengthy holdout, in which he unsuccessfully sought a trade. He spent the Chargers' last three games on the sidelines, as he had been placed on the team's restricted list during the holdout.
