VAN HALEN 1981 Live Footage Posted To Promote Classic Rock Auctions - Dec. 14, 2010

To promote their melodic rock/heavy metal-themed auctions, eBay seller EliteWorks has posted a long-lost VAN HALEN TV interview from 1981 which includes professionally shot live footage from the band's "Fair Warning" tour. The segment shows the group at the absolute peak of its live powers and perfectly illustrates that VAN HALEN really was the world's greatest party band.

I'm sure I remember an interview with MA where he says a hell of alot of shows were video'd from the control desk so they could see/hear how they performed, which is what this looks like.

That looks to be security restringing a barrier of some sort, hardly evidence of filming. What's strange about this is the concert was featured in an article in Circus magazine at the time and VH were mentioned, but the piece stated that the band's equipment failed to make the trip, so they performed with borrowed gear. This report was apparently wrong, as Ed's black and white Frankie can be plainly seen in the footage.
