What makes this difficult is the number of different titles this show goes by. There is John's Birthday Party, Day On The Green, variations of Last Show With Moon, ect. I'd love to have a copy as well, but the quality seems to be hit and miss for an audience recording.
Other than the significance of it being Moon's final show, why the preference, Cato? There are far better recorded shows from Europe (such as Who Put The Boot In 1976, which is a soundboard recording) that completely eclipse the rather mediocre Day On The Green recording.

the quality doesn't matter. he attended that show. that's the only reason he wants it I think...
I'm treating him respectfully because he's a VIP in the VH/DLR trading community....so, I have to get it at any cost.
Fair enough. This might sound like a somewhat bizarre long shot, but if all else fails you might wish to review some Grateful Dead sites. The band played on the same day (October 9, 1976) as the Who, and some of the tapers at that time might have recorded both performances.
Here. Download all the youtube vids of the show and make him a DVD!

The last show with Moon was actually in Toronto on Oct. 21, of 76 I think.
