Today is Pelosi's last day as Speaker of the House. When the new session of Congress convenes tomorrow, Republicans will be the majority party in the House, and John Boehner will be Speaker.
Pelosi made history in 2007 when she became the first female Speaker, after Democrats seized control of Congress.

In a lot of ways, I'm glad she is gone.
It's not like he is preaching to us not to smoke on one side, while accepting donations from tobacco on the other. The guy smokes and makes no apologies or excuses for it, and the tobacco companies donate to him. Nothing wrong with having a product you use helping endorse you.
Obama on the other hand tries to hide the fact that he smokes, is ashamed of it, continually apologizes for it (or has his cronies apologize for him), while pushing health legislation & higher cigarette taxes down our throats.
What would be the few ways that you are not glad she is gone?

I don't know. Seems like pretty lightweight stuff compared to what I see & hear from just about every other politician. I like this guy. It may turn out he is a fraud, liar, crook, adulterer, gay pedophile, intern murdering tax evader. But for right now I like him. He seems genuine and honest with good intentions and I agree with the direction "he says" he wants to take the country in.
I really hope he does good things. This country sure could use some good happenings and quick like. Sad that nowadays it's a stretch to hope an elected official actually does what they were hired to do. I say hope because I'm so jaded with all of it I don't "expect" anything but the worst.

At least the Obama administration and his Democrat cronies fuck us with style. The president sounds polished and eloquent. He looks presidential. Nancy Pelosi always dressed nice and had some cute female staffers with her. They have the good sense to vacation in the winter in Hawaii and go on luxury vacations in some of the worlds interesting places.
The Bush Administration fucked us like a bunch of drunk hillbillies. The president talked like he had a third grade education. Chopped weeds on what seemed to be a parched ugly ranch in Texas. The vice president was shooting people with a shotgun.
