What in the hell is Hagar talking about?

I keep hearing Hagar saying this new tour is selling out all over the place. Yet when I go to Ticketmaster their are tix available for seemingly every show. In addition if it's selling like hot cakes then why aren't music websites and music mags saying so. When KISS toured in 96' it was all over the fucking place about how fast shows were selling out. I remember the first 7 or 8 shows from the Kiss tour sold out in like hours, literally. I've seen no articles from a legit news source that says VAN HAGAR is doing this kind of business. Yet Gaygar is running around telling everyone the whole world is buying tix for this tour. Can anyone point me to a leigit source that backs Hagar's claims up? I'm a big enough person to admit I think the tour will do pretty well considering the Cherone fronted VH was selling around 7,000 to 8,000 tix a night. But this tour (at the writing of this post) does not look like it will come close to the Kiss tour in 96' yet Hagar is acting like it's the biggest rock tour in decades. What in the hell is talking about. Unless the industry is hiding these "rapid-fire sellouts" I just don't see this idiot's point.

The link provided by Pollstar is just a power ranking. It doesn't have any info. on shows being sold out. I have seen nothing in Billboard magazine or Rolling Stone or Radio & Records about this tour selling out all over the place like Hagar says. Even if they have sold out 3 shows (which I've seen no proof of still) then that means they've sold out 3 shows out of what like 40? I'll tell you what, since VHagar fans are obviously confused by definition I'll rely on the real VH fans. The Roth/VH fans. Can anyone point me to a legit news source or industry source that states the tour is selling out like crazy per Hagar's claim? I'm still waiting.

Just went on their website. It says (according to a Billboard Mag writer) the tour is "shaping up to be one of the biggest of the year". This does not equal sellout shows. Furthermore I admitted in an earlier post that I think the tour will be succuessful but there is a difference between successful and "selling out everywherre" like Hagar seems to be saying. The bottom line is that until the tour starts and the numbers appear in Billboard's Box Score we will not know. I will be keeping track of the concerts that are listed and posting them in next few months. Again though, it doesn't look like the tour is selling out everywhere like Hagar keeps saying. Kiss' Reunion Tour in 96' averaged well over 14,000 a night. I will be very interested to see what kind of numbers VHagar pulls in. When Rush toured 2 years ago the tour was one of the top tours of the year grossing about 30 million dollars. However Rush only averaged about 9,500 tix sold per show. With ticket prices at such high rates VHagar will no doubt have a good gross amount of dollars. What I'm interested in is how full ALL of the shows are, not just some. I still see no evidence yet of "rapid fire sellouts'". No matter what this tour does a Roth fronted tour would have been bigger.

If this were a Van Halen REUNION tour (not the bullshit "reunion", the real one), that ACC show would have sold out in minutes.
