Damned! I need to take an 8-day break to listen to all the music posted here!
I missed this thread, I wonder how, though there have been whole periods while
I didn't log in.
I feel it's a bit suicidal on my part, but I'll post a link to one of my current band's tunes...
I'm in charge of the vocals and the lyrics.

"Don't blame it on rock 'n' roll". We recorded it in 2008, as well as 5 other songs.
We did them with everybody playing at once. 4 original songs (original, though quite
a lot of parts sound like we've heard it before ) plus 2 covers, including the
Stones' "Get off of my cloud". Maybe I'll dare post it in the Covers Thread.
We made a self-produced album last year, but we're about to re-mix it, so I'd rather post
links to a couple of tunes from it when the remixing is done.
OK, new goofery... here's the first recording of the Bomber guitar... new pickups sound pretty cool, too!
Also messed around with the clean tracks of a tune I'd been working on prior to the old system crash:

Having too much fun with Pro Tools 10...the goal wasn't to jump into reworking old tunes this weekend, just to familiarize myself with the new features and work out the bugs which I seem to have accomplished. There's all kinds of cool preset drum loops you can use, organized by genre when you pull up a session template... here's how I mangled their "Hip Hop" preset...

Also got a riff down this morning that I'd had to put down as a frickin' BBVN when the system was down a few months ago... nice to finally be able to HEAR what it was supposed to sound like...

OK, got Recabinet 3 working...dialing heavy guitars back in...

Here's a clip from last week. I was performing at a Tribute concert for a local legend Karl Kelly who recently was taken by cancer. I'm playing bass and singing with one of his past groups.
I'm blues approved baby!
Fucking killer, les! Reminds me of this quote by the great man...
It's always irritated me that people say, 'Where's the action? Oh wow, there's no action here; let's go somewhere else.' These people will never find the action.

Good stuff man
fuck your fucking framing

New review of the Classic Stack Plus series in my Warmoth Strat...
Can't help but wonder, though... it was just posted a half hour ago and already has close to 400 "likes" and 70 "shares"... where does that fall on Trixie's "fail scale"?
Here's one on upgrades and overhauls - "Beef up your Beater".
Here's tonight's experiment... combined EZdrummer "Twisted" kit with PT Boom and came up with a weird kinda beat... https://soundcloud.com/jayhaleguitar/foreboding
Firstly, Les, you got dat blooze, muffukka!
Jay, the review of the SD stakz was cool. That fucking strat looks beautiful!
And lastly, yeah, you are a weirdo, but the guitars sound groovy.
“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”
Thanks!
And yeah, Sunburst does look pretty cool post-overhaul, huh?

i'll paypal a deposit soon.
Grab this from the Warmoth site, kinda close:
OK, after sleeping on it I decided that needed to be longer, and the guitars needed to be in stereo. And Bugs and Daffy needed to be yelling in the background, along with girls whispering dirty things, and it needed the sound of various artillery fire. DONE.
