Is it mainly people at work using Internet Explorer that are having this problem?
Hasn't happened to me using Chrome.

Let's put it this way: For a while there, I honestly believed the municipality had put some kind of cheap-assed filter on our computers that barely functioned, as I couldn't view the site at all. Then came the new IE package and an upgrade last November, and things have been erratic as hell ever since. At home (using Firefox or Chrome), outside of slowly loading pages at vbulletin sites, I rarely have issues at all.

Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
IE has been shit for years.
I just pooped in to laff in yer faces & tell you I never had any troubles with the Army, not with me XP nor 7. Didn't have them with Vista, either.
Not counting the times it was down and/or giving the white screen of death, of course.
Cheers! :bottle:
Only way I get around it is to write everything in notepad and then paste into the post. Molasses is not my style.

Had the same keystroke problem when running IE. Switched to Firefox and haven't seen it since.

Really!
This fucking place is so damn slow all the fucking time. FUCK! It takes 30 seconds form the time you click on something for it to even start to load and then you are lucky if it does load.
Lately things have looked up. I salute you for getting ready for the deluge. Last 6 weeks or so (or maybe I am just too busy to be on), it appears that the stie* is working better.

Thanks Claret, yes I'm still having the same problem.
I've done a bit of digging on the site in question and it seems that the hack places a redirect clause in the htaccess files on the server. Other sites seem to have been having the problem since late August - advice for webmasters etc are all over the web.
Apparently it only affects google searches - other search engines will work fine. I have no idea why it is affecting that thread I started, however. I'm not computer literate enough to understand I'm afraid.
The Power Of The Riff Compels Me
You could reset your computer to a earlier time with System Tools /System Restore this won't work if you have some service pak shat from mircoco, rool the world soft..why have virus protection if you can just revert to a earlier time before the virus or glitch ( some create registry errors) in the software of your home pc. But , I am conspiracy...blaa blaa blaaa...
I downloaded a system disk image program that alows me to back up a mirror image of everything I have on my C Drive all the good stuff..lol. Then monthly I downlaod everything in ,my docs, wich all my current active struff...other than that I am not a computer brain either..lol.
My system disk and software programs loaded are the important stuff my docs and daily stuff is just non-essential stuff backing up stuff off your box is the only true savior to computer personal stuff. Get a thumb drive and do that daily then if screwed mirror that good stuff back in, load your thumb back in.. all good.
That way if I get screwed i can load everything back on despite virus programs not allowing me the ability to restore to a earlier date, running as the state of my computer is at time of issue.
You could try disk c;lean up in my computer C drive properties, the reason I think it may be on your end is I used the same comand addy you posted thru google and got here just fine...so I don't know.
P.S. tell us about this soko site so we don't have to go there, be my advanced scout ranger danger guy, what is it..? is it a site about...? just a non-sense page, or do you think a TheRA attack by some disgruntled assmunch from the old days..what is your take..I am interested.
Vain i see that same page you posted in that other thread of binnies, (picture) when i google what binnie does DLR ARMY i only get the soko site link when clicking on the , army garage link.
I just got this from my threat prevenTion Norton after clicking on one of those links thru google.
destination my computer IP
source.. 75 dot 102 dot 21 dot 120 dot instead of periods incase it liks the a hypelink.
this is the site addy from Norton...add three www before the three........(3.saveyjkmaster.in)
fake app attack fake AV website 24
I'm posting this here rather than the other thread I started because that thread is appearing in a very fucked up manner on my screen!
To clarify what I'm getting from a google search in reference to the image which Vain posted in the other thread.
If I click on any link with www.dlrarmy.com as the address, I come here and it all works fine and dandy.
If I click on any link with www.rotharmy.com as the address, I get redirected to the sonowhatever site. Which appears to be a blank page (but I haven't hung around long enough to find out.)
I think it means that someone has created a application or redirect sofware hack that causes your click to be sent somewhere other that the site you requested by making the redirect the first option of the explorer location address.
I really am not to savy to all this I believe the only fix is to notify google and wait for them to create a block on this.
It doesn't seem to be damaging of the home pc of those that click it probaly may open a port and rob you of cpu speed or perhaps open you up for snooping by third parties.
But it is so blatantley open and visual is reeks of sophomoric skills.
I think but do not know but guess it is a nothing much created by some college studed at M.I.T. for his chapter on,... virus, what are they and how they are created.
on my mac running safari, both those links immediately connect to here.
Do this last.. whatever version of IE Explorer you are running you could go to microsfy web addy and try a reload.
or this firsts..
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup.... Delete all automatically ticked items and then delete all those files.
try this above if it doesn't work it will at least maybe speed up your pc a little.
load all good stuff off your computer to a disk and then play around wouldn't hurt to learn a little I have my system softeware disks handy so they cant do much to me I just nuke my harddrive with nuke software then reload disks ..wow I loose 4 hrs internet playtime..
I am always amazed the redirect isn't directly to a Buy My Redirect Anti Software and fix your Redirect issues..lol.

only admins should be on that thread.
I had to download Google Chrome just to get into the thread. It was also the only way I could delete the son of a bitch.
craig da man..I am sure bin meant no harm.
craig you are a hard worker around here thanks.
I also wouldn't recommend clicking the links on this page I just wanted to know what he thought not go there myself. Post # 98 .
Well that was a fun little saturday..
feets'ball beer and the big easy chair well earned..
I tried the site around 11 EST and on two different computers it was redirected elsewhere and I had a virus warning. Yikes.
Roth Army Canada
When performance drops viagra, Red Bull, and some cocaine usually fixes it.
Just to clarify: does this mean that the infected links from google have been rectified?
From what I could gather, this things places a redirect clause in the hataccess files of the server which alters links in google (but not other servers). Plnety of other sites/blogs seem to have been affected by it in the past month.
I don't think that this was on my computer. It only affected google links to this site, not any others. My spyware picked nothing up on a full scan, and I re-set my system to a month earlier.
Not fixed yet...working on it...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."
Just popped up , small 3x2 inch, info window pop up in the center of my screen that said congratulation you have won the blaa blaa prize click thing... I clicked on the close x and should have print screened but my reflexes got the better of me...?
This may have been a window off my pc .....or from logging on here..?
I am going to log off and do a hard reboot of my pc see what happens.
I know you guys are working on this crapola and wish I could help, good luck.
It's not from logging into the site...
It's the google link that's been hijacked....
I am glad to be in the presence of such knowledgeable computer geeks - quite seriously.
