Check the metal on the esp..it's not an even colour.
But is ESP better than schecter??Can somebody compare the wood etc.
What would be the best between the two??
The uneven color could be due to lighting or exposure of the camera. The Schecter looks nice. I have no idea what the bridge is. I have the gut feeling both guitars are about the same quality.

I snagged the same guitar off of Ebay. The previous owner must have not played it much because the neck was still unworn and clean. It's easy on strings because they last a long time on this guitar. In my opinion these are one of the best used guitar buys going. Great guitars.

The Wolfgang is the only guitar I paid less than $700 for that I didn't feel the need to change anything on. Nobody wants to mod these guitars because they are perfect out of the box. I opened mine up and the wiring was top notch. Neatly laid out and soldered. They even put shrink tub insulation over some of the connections.

the local pawnbrokers are always a good option too... i snagged an '86 ibanez roadstar 2 with original edge trem and nut for 300 aus bucks a few years ago. beautiful neck on it, solid hunks of poplar for the body, satch heaven.

I totally agree on the Specials... the only mods I did to my Standard were rewiring the 'tone' knob to be a volume for the bridge pickup and refretted it with stainless steels... I must say, the dual volumes is a nice touch on these. I feel they should have come from the factory that way.

It really is a pretty guitar... you must fill us in with your thoughts once you get some time in behind it! Congrats!

Don't worry about not being able to play it before buying it. Schecters seem to have good quality control and they are very similar from one guitar to the next. The setup should be pretty nice right out of the box as well...
