Pistons shown laughing during Kuester ejection Friday

It's obvious there some disharmony in the Pistons locker room between the players and head coach John Kuester.

Seven players missed part or all of today's shootaround in Philadelphia before tonight's game in what the Free Press is reporting as a type of player protest against the coach.

Kuester responded by not playing any of the players tonight, even though five of them -- Austin Daye, Tracy McGrady, Ben Wallace, Chris Wilcox and Rodney Stuckey -- were in uniform on the bench. Detroit played only six players in the 110-94 loss tonight. Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince were not on the bench in uniform.

The game was televised in the Detroit and Philadelphia areas. Comcast SportsNet's coverage of the game showed what may have been the most telling sign of the season.

During the second quarter, Kuester argued with an official, was slapped with two technical fouls and was ejected. As the coach was being escorted off the court, cameras showed McGrady laughing on the bench. Later, the cameras showed McGrady, Stuckey and Wallace sharing a laugh right after Kuester went to the locker room.

McGrady told the Free Press the players were laughing about something else.

Check out the video for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

The new owner has to get put in place and Dumars on down needs to be fired for putting this mess together. I'm not a Kuester fan at all but he alone can't be blamed for this joke of a team. This team was always about "Go to work" and out working the other team, what in the fuck can they call this?

I can't believe how far Joey D has fallen........I used to think the man could do no wrong but lately have done a 180 on that assessment. WTF has happened? It's almost like he's purposely making bad trades/decisions.

It's the classic....when you're not winning you turn on each other thing going on with the Pistons.....A team that was famous for it's blue collar work ethic and a team that used to stay away from the drama and just play basketball....has turned into this shit!

I've watched about two games this season and that was two too many

I haven't watched the Pistons since they won the back-to-back titles. Was it 89/90? Man, that was a fucking fun team to watch. That was what started to get me in to basketball. Then from 91 on Michael got me hooked.
