Damn, it's a shame the wheels fell off of Wood's wagon soon after going into the back nine, because for a while there the Phil/Tiger duel looked to be a barn-burner.

Anyone else catch Nantz say that the last five times
there's been a Woods/Mickelsen pairing in the final round
of a tourney Phil is 5-0? Then Faldo chimes in with if it was
Match Play today Phil would have finished him off 7 and 5
      on the 13th hole!

That three-putt par by Woods on 18 was painful to watch.
Reminded me of my four-putt bogey last season.

      Think about it...a four-putt bogey.
'Cause three holes are better than a hole-in-one!!!

I thought we had another good final going on the Champion's Tour between Corey Pavin and Mark Calcavecchia, until the latter pulled a Woods and bogeyed six of his last seven holes. Painful to watch, indeed. Pavin went into a play-off with Peter Senior, and won with a birdie on the first hole of sudden death.

Hell, at one point Pavin hit from the cart path, LEFT-HANDED and knocked the ball within 2 feet of the cup in order to save par! Some days, the Gods, luck or whatever are just with you out there.

I have to take back what I said about Phil's game, at least for this week. He played rather well Friday and Sunday.

HOLY CRAP, is anyone else watching this? Mickelson and Bradley both birdie the 18th from over 20 feet each to force a three way, sudden death play off with Bill Haas. Amazing!

                That was an amazing finish!!!

When they got to 10... I thought Haas' play was absolute perfection. I was really surprised at how Phil played his 1st shot at 10 in the playoff... really bad choice for an experienced guy like him.

February 22, Framingham, Massachusetts. 55 degrees. Just played at my local course, Millwood in Framingham. Tried out my new irons. I ended up getting the Adams Idea irons. They were on sale at Dick's for $199. I couldn't pass that up. Anyway, I had one birdie, two pars and a bunch of 6's and 7's. Not too bad for the middle of the winter. I'm still hitting the absolute FUCK out of my driver. I drove the green on a par 4, and on another par 4 hit one close to 300 yards. Fuck yeah!

Golf Show in Chicago this weekend in Rosemont. Heading there
tomorrow. I'll be the tall guy in the Ping hat. Mrs. Whorehey
just informed me that even after the water heater took
a shit AND we just dumped $1400 into the minivan she
managed to keep 300 off to the side so I can get myself
                    something nice.

Atta girl. I'm gonna shiw her how much I appreciate it after the
                    kids go to bed.

February must be the slowest month of the year for golf, my local golf course keep emailing me special deals. I can't find a soul to play with but I may head out solo in the next week or two and see how it goes.
