Been so close...its all about 2 putting every fuckin green
Is there any real advantage in a fat ass grip on your putter?
Damn..Tigers old caddy looks like Sandusky..
Ernie could make this interesting if he sinks this putt on 18
Nice..Ernie nailed it...1 back and Scott has two to play
Painful...well..time to go blast a few myself..
I watched the later broadcast on ABC in order to catch all of the auto racing. Man, you have to feel horrible for Adam Scott (as evidenced by his interview, even Earnie Els does). What a collapse, the poor bastard is probably on suicide watch at this moment.

most definitely bro, especially if you have bigger hands!
i played one of our best local courses today in gusty overcast weather, magnificent testing layout. played with a really cool canadian bloke off 18; he won the $$..
i had 41-45 against a 72 par. woohoo sticky!!

i hate/love this game.
i was going left and long all day, the correction got me a 4 4 finish. i'll get the $$ next week, i'm out to 13.

he's got a few more wins and bucks than me craig...
i'm sure it's a mental thing, sticking to a gameplan when you're going really well is much harder than scrambling when you aint i've found.
Either way I'm laying off Furyk and Adam Scott this weekend. Time to start tooting the Matty Kuchar horn again.
Hasn't missed a cut this year in 18 starts.
Louie O had a nice run going last week at Firestone. Plus he got pimped at Augusta.
Should be an awesome weekend.
i'm really gonna try to watch some golf this weekend.
I've given up on naming a favorite. It's nearly impossible to pick a winner with the parity of the field as of late. You'll have the Golf Channel talking up Luke Donald as the hot hand for 4 days prior to the tournament, and he ends up barely (if at all) making the cut. Which is why, other than seeing the weather conditions and course layout for things like pin placement, I rarely even bother with pre-event shows anymore. It's all a bunch of hot air prognostication, as none of these so-called experts know any more than you or I do.
Most of the low rounds today came off the
early pairings. Calling for 30 MPH winds tomorrow
with some rain. My Yahoo fantasy team took a beating
today. Left 46 points sitting on my bench. Not
sure who to play tomorrow.
I was tied up with work all day and only caught a few brief bits. However...
One Great Thing: Thank God ESPN isn't involved and are up to their eyeballs with NFL coverage. That spares us Chris Bermann's boorish presence,
One Not-So-Great Thing: TNT's Ernie Johnson, Jr and CBS's Gary McCord are there. Johnson never wants to shut the fuck up, even interrupting people to insert stupid details read off of a computer screen. The jerk must be a Google wizard. McCord on the other hand, is insightful as can be, he just tries to be a funny guy to the point of distraction. That's how he managed to get banned from broadcasting at the Masters seventeen years ago.
Kuchar is gonna miss the cut.
Tiger is out, seven shots back. For him to win now he would have to skip a couple of holes..............and we all know Tiger has never skipped a hole.
holy hell, rory!!
flatstick genius..
Jesus, what a display. Even the announcers were saying that this is what Woods used to do: Essentially kicking the crap the field, then stomping on their carcasses with glee. Unbelievably, and I don't think the little bastard missed a single put the entire time I was watching!
And the name Rory has always been simply bad-assed...
SUHWEET!!! My 'in' at Medinah just called to ask me what day I'd like to go to the Ryder Cup. AS HIS GUEST!!!
Told him to make sure they pour plenty of water on the greens, after watching Tiger putt at Bethpage last weekend.
Awesome whorehey! Wear a ROTHARMY shirt live on tv golf.
That'd be a first ay?
First round club champs yesterday. Teed off on 10, uphill 143yd (I did the conversion for you guys ) par 3.
Hit 6 iron to ten feet and holed the putt!! Holy shit my knees were knocking. Two bad holes cost me nine to par. Finished with 42-47 89 nett 76.
That puts me 15th in b grade, but for the next three weekends I have gigs so I don't know if I'll play round 2.
Talk me into it, golfists!!

Love these rowdy crowds during the Ryder Cup...
Oh yeah, cry's of "get in the hole" on the tee of a 520 yard monster....and what the fuck is "Mashed Potato" all about lol
And Europe are getting their butt kicked all over Medinah
One of my friends here in Nashville is the head audio engineer for the SkyTV and HD 3D broadcast.
I watched the last 3 holes today.....wow.
The audience response is so unlike it used to be....polite clapping......this is more like a rock concert, lol.
Blokes slapping a ball around and trying to get it in a hole...ridiculous when ya think about it.
WOW!!! Europe win, coming from a 10-6 deficit to win 14 1/2 to 13 1/2, didn't see that happening. Well done Olly and the boys, superb stuff.
Experience of a lifetime being out there yesterday. Got
there at 6 AM. Got seats in the stands on the first tee.
It was like a rock concert. Asked the Marshall on 14 tee to
to pick up Bubba Watson broken tee for me after his group
cleared out. Sat across 13 green on the hill. Smoked a Romeo
slammed a couple Stellas, and ate a Norco. Damn shame
about today. DL IIIs captains picks played like crap today.
Uh huh uhuhuh
Would someone in a warm climate PLEASE
remind me what it's like to make a divot...
whorehey! how you doin, man? i've probably played 10 rounds already this year. it's too fucking hot. looking forward to autumn...
Ash!!!
Santa was kewl enough to leave me an I20 in 9.5/stiff under my tree.
Fell into a real nasty work/eat/sleep rut the last couple of months.
Dude how did you let this thread fall down to page 2?
excellent score!! get it out to the range and start thwackin'.
i know, my bad, i figured we'd fire up again once the pga tour gets cranking again...

I played for awhile in the early 70s. I came across some biography about Ben Hogan, and of course the author of a biography is going to portray his subject as some sort of GOD....so being a young teenager I was duly impressed, and began watching tournaments on TV.
Asked for a set of clubs, and lo and behold I got a set for my birthday one year. 2 woods, 4 irons and a putter. And a bag of course. Man I was ready to rock! Practiced a lot. Played occasionally. Sometimes sneaking onto the back 9 to play after about 6 or 7 in the evening......the course was only a couple of blocks from my house.
Then I got waylaid by the snarl of a heavily amplified guitar......so much for golf...
