You're gonna hear the angels sing...
My Cardinals are murdering everything in their path . I'm taking in the moment thoroughly enjoying this baseball rampage while I can . Matheny has taken LaRussa's sage advice: * Can't win every game . Just win every series *
The latest gang of young pitchers has been impressive . The talking heads at ESPN , MLB Network , and Fox Sports Midwest have praised the Cardinals excellent farm system and the depth of talent within the organization . Even Sports Illustrated has finally caught on with a cover story praising " the Cardinal Way " Patience pays off . Good stuff - Go Cards !

Ahh, beware the S.I. cover curse! And besides, the season doesn't actually start until after the All-Star break.
Oh yeah , I am well aware of the infamous and well documented S.I. cover curse . No voodoo so far - so far that is .
...and true , the All Star Game is the un-official halfway point of the long and winding baseball season however , it's nice to pad the front end of the season with lotsa victories . A win is a win is a win is a win , regardless of the month . Soaking in all the good stuff while I can .
Michael Anthony was in the stands this afternoon in Pittsburgh for the Dodgers/Pirates game.
Don't ask me why, other than the Dodgers were in town....

go MiKey Anthony! Go Martin!! the Catsher that is~! and why are you in Pittsburgh? if you you say VA Beach?? Go Malkin!!!!!!!!!
Now who`s that babe with the fab-u-lous shad-ow?
Oh shit... Here come the Jays... AL East is getting really interesting right about now...
Puig. Just 'cause it's fun to say...
Must be July. Twinkies are 10 games out. I'll check back in in mid August.
My karma just ran over your dogma.
The word on the street is that ARod, Ryan Braun and 20 others will receive 100 games suspensions shortly after the All Star break.

I'm sure this season being his last had much to do with it but it was nice to see Mo win the ASG MVP.
Arod deal allegedly for a 150 game suspension, that would be awesome.
Who's watching the Yankees vs. Red Sox game? Great!
Someone explain to me why this guy will be reinstated..his contract is around 19 mil a year though 2021...and Pete Rose is still banned from the HOF..baseball is shit.
The Rose thing is bullshit... He should be in the HOF hands down.
I get doping is cheating but so is putting shit on the ball, throwing at guys and stealing signs. None of those three things will ever be stopped. Doping won't be stopped either. Personally, I think baseball should just stop talking about it. I think that's the best way to make it go away.
Don't look now but here come the Yankees!!
The MLB 2013 post-season is shaping up nicely . Gonna be a dogfight to the very last day especially in the N.L. Central with a virtual 3 - way clusterfuck between the Cards , the Reds , and the Pirates . Any predictions ? I could very well be wrong , but , here goes : I feel that the Cardinals will make it to the N. L. Championship .
Cards magic number to clinch the N. L. Central is 1 . Shit , Wacha came so damn close to a no - hitter last night . Painful to watch that as it happened but , the rookie pitched a real gem of a game . I'm going to all three Cards - Cubs games this weekend . I'm sure drunken shenanigans will be in abundance . Can't wait !
Sat way up in section 440 last night with my young nephew and watched our Cardinals clinch yet another National League Central Division title in grand style with a thorough butt whuppin' on the Cubs . Going again today and tomorrow as well to see the regular season finale . Can't wait ! Anticipating who the Cards are gonna play in the NLDS . At this point , the Cardinals are relentless with a deep bench and decent young pitching . Yes , a few flaws here and there but , a serious playoff contender for certain . Busch Stadium awaits......
Sat up in 441 yesterday and watched my Cardinals sweep the arch rival Cubbies , clinch the best record in the NL , tie the BoSox for the best record in the MLB ,and home field advantage throughout the NLDS . 10th. postseason in the last 14 years . It's great to be in Cardinals Nation . Awaiting the wild card..........
Going to game # 2 today . I usually save my hard earned vacation days for almighty deer season however , I just had to be there . Sitting way up in section 430 but that's O-kay . It never hurts my feelings to sit up high and far away . In fact , I enjoy the view . Job well done by my Cards yesterday . Got to Burnette early and often . Good stuff but far from over . Busch Stadium awaits.......
Pun intended , this has been one epic mini-series . All knotted up at two games apiece . Everything shifts back to beautiful Busch Stadium tomorrow night . I'll be in section 372 slugging down A-B products . This can go either way . The Pirates have been a tough opponent . The Cardinals are post season veterans . It's gonna be mighty intense . If , I say IF the Pirates do prevail, I will root for them the rest of the way . After losing to the S.F. Giants in the NLCS last season , I wasn't so disappointed when they won the actual World Series . I felt like the Cards just seceded their title to the eventual champion . It took some of the sting off losing .
Regardless , go Cards damnitt ! I want that 19th. N.L. pennant , I want that 12th. World Series title .

Good Gosh , Busch Stadium was simply electric last night ! Cards ace Adam Wainwright put on a pitching performance for the ages . God Bless the Pirates. They will be a force to reckon with for years to come however , the postseason savvy Cardinals turned it up a notch and prevailed . On to a 3rd. straight NLCS . Cardinals Nation is a good place to be right now . Bring on the Dodgers......

Cards prevail in 13 long innings . Man , what a epic nail-biter ! This series has all the potential elements of unstoppable force/immovable object .
It's raining here . Hopefully , game #2 scheduled for 3:00 pm local is still a go .
Any thoughts on the A.L. ? I think that it is too close to call .
Outstanding contest! I shut it off just before the bottom of the 12th started. If that game is any indication of how the rest of the series will play out, everybody should watch the drama unfold!
I wish both AL teams could lose! Just on principle, I'm taking Detroit.
Dodgers back in it with a 3 - 0 victory . Outfielder Jon Jays three miscues cruelly reminded me of outfielder Matt Holliday " losing the ball in the lights " at Dodger Stadium in the '09 playoffs . Very unsettling . Give it another go tonight . Go Cards damnitt !
I'm amazed that this series could be potentially completed with less than 15 total runs being scored. Talk about parity... Any true baseball fan can admit that this one outstanding match up!
This has truly been a squeaky tight and hard fought series . Dodgers have no wiggle room and are clearly playing like it . Little miscues on both sides have benefitted the opposition . Baseball truly is a game of inches . The scene switches back to Busch Stadium both Friday and Saturday night if necessary . I'd say a game #7 is likely though I would love to see the Cards wrap it up ASAP . Looks like the offense on both sides is waking up . It's gonna be a real good one . The mighty Busch Stadium awaits.......
Congratulations to the mighty St. Louis Cardinals on their 19th. National League pennant ! Hard fought and well deserved . Getting past Pittsburgh and Los Angeles was no small feat .
Bring on Boston/Detroit !
LA is out. They got shellacked last night! That rookie pitched way beyond his experience! Time for me to root for your Cards GM!
