Fucking Red Sox. Forcing me to root for a national league team in the series.
Fuckin' eh! And I was going to root for the Dodgers if the Tigers lost, because the big hero of Mid-Michigan named Magic Johnson is the leader of the ownership group that turned the club around since the previous owner fucked it all up.
On a side note, Magic Johnson's brother use to give anti-drug seminars at my high school. No BS.
Go Sox!!

These two old historic baseball warhorses face off in just about 4 hours . Too close to call . Seems like most of the " experts " and all the MLB talking heads are split down the middle . Most agree that it's gonna be close and tight . I do know this - It won't be easy either way . Both teams finished first overall in their respective divisions going 97 & 65 , both teams cleaned house in the postseason and went the distance . They both deserve to be right were they are . In 4 spring training games they split 2 - 2 . By all rights it should be a World Series for the ages . An instant classic for the real fan . Both Boston and St. Louis are hardcore baseball towns . If the BoSox pull it off , I will tip my cap . If my Cardinals pull it off , I'll still tip my cap to the Red Sox for just getting there .
May the best team actually win . Play ball fellas . Give us a hard nine innings tonight . This is the 10th. Cardinals World Series appearance in my 50 young years .
Go Cards damnitt !
* First round to the BoSox *
Round 2 in 3 and 1/2 hours .
Wacha Wacha Wacha... What a great game! Just what I want a WS game to be!
Classic National League - style victory . Double steal , base hit , heads up base running , RBI's , scratch and claw small ball , Whitey Ball , just call it successful .
Add in yet another young pitching phenom throwing serious heat with an equally stellar bullpen . All knotted up at a game apiece and heading for a raucous Busch Stadium . Counting down to tomorrow night.........
Umpires got it right and Joe Torre himself has said so . Crazy play , victorious outcome . I hope like hell that Allen Craig is O-kay , God bless him . My nerves are frazzled . Up 2 - 1 but this is far from over . Go Cards damnitt !
Can't Control your Future. Can't Control your Friends. The women start to hike their skirts up. I didn't have a clue. That is when I kinda learned how to smile a lot. One Two Three Fouir fun ter thehr fuur.
The play last night might go down in history just ahead of this one...

Buckner comes to mind as a most memorable world series play..or this one
Umpire Don Denkenger badly blowing the call at first base . Cards vs. KC Royals Game # 6 in the '85 World Series . That was simply the very worst missed call ever . He admitted that he blew the call and the other umpires said it was obvious . Cards manager Whitey Herzog , in hindsight , said that he should have pulled his entire team off the field right there and then in protest and gone straight to the commissioner who was present and request a immediate conference with the umpires . Still makes me sick to this day .
The late - great Jack Buck simultaneously made one of his greatest call ever during that play " I don't believe what I just saw ! " Cool stuff....
Cards - Sox all knotted up again . This has been one major nerve wrecking World Series . First pitch just about 3 and 1/2 hours away . Go Cards damnitt !
Baseball is so boring. The World Series is like watching Jesus fart on a marshmallow.
Let's see: a bunch of FA T, overpaid ringers knows as "da Sox" dick-licking ZZ Top and the other team is made up of the best players of losing teams on the National League rooster bought out of their original contracts. Who leads the series? Who cares?
You really are the angriest pot smoker that I'm aware exists. Are you alright?
Yeah. Doesn't change how dull baseball is. Hit a ball run aroused a base or two make millions of dollars doing so. Fucking retarded. It's like golf - only more minorities are involved.
BoSox up 3 - 2 and heading back to Fenway Park for the final two . Cards have no wiggle room . Sending the brilliant rookie Michael Wacha to the mound . Hopefully he can still throw some magic . This has been one tight series . Red Sox haven't won a World Series in Fenway Park since 1918 . Last time the Cardinals won a World Series on the road was at Fenway Park in 1967 . Hopefully the Cards will stop shooting themselves in the foot with lack of offense . It starts about this time tomorrow night . Go Cards damnitt !
Throwing away from Big Papi! LAME!!
Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox for winning the World Series fair and square . Their opponent , the National League champion St. Louis Cardinals , never bothered to show up .
This was one topsey- turvey World Series . Both teams played pretty lousy , the BoSox were a little less lousy . Neither team resembled the juggernauts they were in the regular season or in the playoffs for that matter . Uncharacteristically low team batting averages , sloppy play , and multiple errors nagged both teams . If both teams had showed up and played to their potential this would have been one humdinger of a Series . As of this moment , I would not doubt it if both teams re-match in the 2014 Series . They do meet August 5th. , 6th. , and 7th. at Busch Stadium for interleague play during the regular season . I will be there .
p.s. The Cards have played in 10 World Series in my lifetime alone and are 5 Series wins ( '64 , '67 , '82 , '06 , and '11 ) and 5 Series losses ( '68 , '85 , '87 , '04 , and now '13 ) Most baseball fans are fortunate to #1 - have a team , #2 - that team play in a postseason , and # 3 - win just one World Series . I feel very , very blessed to be a St. Louis Cardinals fan .
p.s. 5 long months till opening day 2014 . Cheers !

I knew Robinson Cano would just go to the highest bidder. I applaud the Yanks for not giving that lunatic a 10 year deal.

Sickening. All he's doing is the same thing A-Rod did when he left Seattle. He's kicking off the next ten years of his life with a loser team. Let's see how much of a team they build around him. They won't. They're just banking on fans showing up to see him.
What do you think the chances are of Alfonso heading back to second? That would work for me.
Still have Vernon Wells, too. I heard they're thinking of getting Chavez back. They should have kept him all along. Youkilis was a huge waste of $.
I'm hoping the Bombers get an opportunity to post for Tanaka. Just read that his Japanese club may not go for it though... Cashman really needs to be trying to get a deal done for a starting pitcher and also getting Logan signed again...
Friggin' Cano. No spot in Monument Park for him. I think he's a dumbass. Yanks offered him more per season but I guess he wanted the extra 3 years more.
Looks like Beltran will be in right. If Choo is still an option I wonder if Gardner will wind up odd man (on the way) out? I honestly hope not because 2 base staling threats in the same line up these days are pretty rare and together they could wreak havoc.
Ugh. I was never a fan of Beltran. He was over rated before the Mets got him and has been average ever since.
He might be productive. At this point I'd be happy with .275, 22-25 and 80-95. Guess we'll wait and see...
Woo Hoo!!! Joba is gone!!!
With up's there are down's; Logan is gone now. I think he's a huge loss.
May he serve the Rockies well...
Looks like if you're between 30 and 40 you'll have a shot in a NYY uniform this year...
