Pro/Artist Studio Sites (lookin' for ideas)

know any cool studio sites? post 'em up. i'm working on finishing my "loud" room in the basement, and while it won't be a studio per se, i am looking for ideas.

    here's Tommy Lee's Atrium Studio:

Taking a tour of the rich and famous is one thing.

If you hang out with people that actually want to write and record:

    http://www.ascap.com/

    http://www.mi.edu/

Poke around and you will see Techniques and recording concepts that are state of the art. Until some Chick in Barbados blows us all away

The one idea I posted in Ascap was the Pantyhose "Pop" filter. Get some pantyhose and a wire hanger. Make the hanger into a circle....stretch the pantyhose over it in two layers....put that in front of your mic. Then you will be spewing spit on something that at least is in the right area. And you will need less compression on that POP!

I find it very difficult to understand a mind that puts koi carp in a studio but forgets draft beer for the bar.

I'm guessing it's a female or homosexual mind...

i may end up with a "lounge" area too. the big room will be around 18 x 13 and i will have another 13 x 13 room to play with. i have plenty of time to find a tap machine, but i kinda like my $40 electric bill and may just get a small fridge. have an idea for a bar but i won't be able to start on it until i get some other stuff out of that room.

i like the cinema room on Tommy's site. my room will also serve that purpose, i want to be able to move furniture around for different setups. the TV will be wall mounted and probably the only stationary thing in there.

i saw the pool and i wondered if that's where the kid drowned...i don't have room for a pool, but i'm a block away from the lake.
