Yeah the Satch models play very nice. The chrome is cool as fuck!
One of the top 5 coolest designs of all time, imo..
The Randy Rhoads Jackson RR-5
Yngwie J. Malmsteen sig. (Relic)
The Andy Summers Telecaster
The original Neal Schon model (Made by Jackson) was def. an aquired taste...
But his Les Paul Sig. is killer...
i played one of those andy summers at a trade show a few years ago. good, but not worth 19k. the 'ash' signature tele shits on it, at a tenth of the price.
you know how it aint van halen without david lee roth? well, it aint a les paul if it's got a floyd imho. a bigsby i will tolerate, but even that's a stretch....
Jimi Hendrix Signature Strat - a friend of mine has one, very limited editon. Really kickass guitar.

the first run of srv strats were very good, too. at a time when fender's main output was of questionable quality control.
not that i'm biased or anything. the Hamer Steve Stevens I.
mine's the color of Pepto Bismol. i should strip it and see what the mahogany looks like.
i'd like to find a Hamer SS2, but probably not in gold

I don't know nearly what you guys do about guitars. But I know I totally dig Ratt and Warrens playing & snakeskin guitar. Snakeskin is cool. Ratt is cool. Guitars are cool. WTF else can you ask for?
“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”
yeah, they're awesome guitars mate. here's the story....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibanez_JS_Series
not bad, elvis. the bassist has a 'new' model as well.
The original '70s Paul Stanley Iceman guitar was awesome. Gibralter bridge and quick change tailpiece. Abalone inlays and binding were nice. Great tone.
Also the original Kramer Battle Axe guitar and bass. Not many of the guitars floating around.
File under cool. The Jason Becker signature guitar put out by Paradise Guitars a few years ago.
The original Iceman is a fookin classic!
The main problem with the Chaim Witz bass is that it only seems appropriate on him...
Dig the Becker on too.
I have one of these in red, and I just love it. I've really grown to appreciate it more over the years....
I also have a couple of these, Standard & Special, and they're work horses...
Say what you will about Eddie, but the guy makes a solid guitar. I'll never get rid of mine.

I can't find a picture but the obvious choice for coolest is the Dean Ween Signature strat
I have a malmsteen which is cool , but if I bought another sig model it would be a Blackmore as it would be way cooler.

so fortunate to be served by the dump messiah
Yes it does 2007 and afterwards , the earlier models were slightly more shallow but the 07 were deeper .... dosn't make any difference , why are his scallops deeper now? maybe his fingers have swollen and got bigger because he's old like the rest of us ... just a thought.
I would have bet my lunch that Sarge bought one of these and blogged a review about it, but I simply can't find it. This is the Fender Custom Shop Rory Gallagher Signature Electric Guitar, a relic version that although has it's flaws, is pretty much my favorite sig guitar. To me, those flaws include a wiring system that leaves the volume and tone controls malfunctioning (as on Gallagher's real ax) and a relic job that went a bit too far. Even so, it looks like it has been through hell, which would allow it to sit quite comfortably next to my other battle-worn guitars.
what do you have for lunch?
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
Either a small container filled with the remains from whatever I had for dinner the night before, or a preposterous sandwich made by drunken instinct later that same evening. Not much of a bet, as I have about a 50-50 chance of finding the contents inedible.
yeah, no bet. we had gyros today
Back on topic, if I may...
My favourite Strat sig model is the Eric Johnson model.
I found this Strat sounds equally amazing through a high gain rig as it sparkles through a nice clean chorus setup. For a single coil Strat, this thing's got balls...From Fender.com...
The Eric Johnson signature Stratocaster® guitar features a light two-piece alder body with deep ’57-style body contours and cavities; one-piece, vintage-tinted quartersawn plain maple neck (contours sanded very smooth) with light ’57-style V shape, 12” fingerboard radius and highly-polished frets; special Eric Johnson single-coil pickups with countersunk screws and a five-way switch; vintage tremolo with silver-painted block; ’57-style string recess; no paint between the base plate and the block; five springs (no tremolo cover); master volume; neck and bridge tone controls; thin neck-cap with staggered machine heads; and ’57-style parchment pickguard. Available with .010-.046 gauge strings and a thin-skin nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
