Exactly. It's gotten out of hand now and that's why I don't have any interest in professional or college sports anymore. I can remember Terry Bradshaw saying when he went to his first Super Bowl the Steelers got there on a chartered bus eating sack lunches. He said most the guys played the game because they loved it and were just happy as hell that they could make a living doing what they loved. Now they cry because they don't make enough and fly chartered planes to the game. It seems the more pampering they get the more they whine.

I wasn't much better in my youth. I got expelled from a tournament for smashing a racquet.

My idol was Bjorn Borg. I played with Donnay racquets and strung them up tight. I learned how to string racquets and did them all myself. What's funny is my job was taking care of the golf course but I was at the tennis courts on my own time. Tennis seemed to be more popular game with the younger people and golf was kind of the old mans game then. Plus, the cute girls were playing tennis not golf. Summers were pretty much all day and evening everyday at the country club.

My household was a Jimmy Connors one. In the 90's I took my Mom to the San Diego Sports Arena to watch a charity match between him & Andre Agassi. Was really fun & they played the hell out of the crowd. Brooke Shields was in the stands. This is back when Andre had long hair and was the hottest thing. I think he won, but Jimmy made a good run at it.

And yeah to the cute girls in the 70's & 80's playing tennis. I still dream about those skirts & tiny tight shorts underneath. Plus all the hopping up & down around the court. Loved it!

I grew up in Sun Valley, Idaho which is a resort town. Quite a few celebrities have homes there and Brooke Shield's mom had a home there. Sometimes you would see Brooke around. She's very tall. When I was in college I went home for Christmas vacation. We were at one of the local watering holes and Brook Shields was working her way through the crowded bar and knocked one of my friends over. He was a little short dude and she was all apologetic and "are you alright." He was all excited that Brook Shields knocked him on his ass. I mean the girl is built. She probably could fuck you up if she wanted to. LOL!

I pretty much lived in tennis shorts, tennis shirts, and the good ol' Stan Smith Adidas tennis shoes in the summer. Oh yes, those tight asses in those little tennis dresses. Woof woof!
