Always dug Akira...though I will admit it kinda used to annoy me as a kid when with my Kramer Voyager people would say "Akira" when I'd in fact bought the damn thing because it looked like the guitar on the cover of "Women and Children First".
And no, it doesn't yet - back burner...lol.

Yeah, never was that impressed by his unaccompanied solos...but his riffs and solos (in songs) rule! I always heard the main reason Akira wanted Max Norman to produce Loudness was his work with RR, btw...

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan from way back. His solo's are like a hybrid of Blackmore and EVH... (=win!)
And his tone is truely his own...
